Looking for power adapter

Considering I know squat about power adapters, I thought I'd ask here about my problem. A few years ago I had a 5.1 surround sound setup for my computer with an external amplifier, i think that's what it is at least, (creative inspire 5.1 digital 5700), with the amp requiring power via power adapter. Later on, the adapter died and I packed the speakers up because I wasn't sure on what to do. Now, however, I want to try to hook it back up and need to know where I can find a power adapter that matches. The only thing I know is that on the back of the amp it requires 15v DC In, i'm assuming the connector is standard for any electronic that requires that amount of current. Anyone know where I may be able to find a correct replacement? Any help is appreciated.

Cliffs:
-Had a 5.1 surround sound setup with external amplifier (i think?) long time ago
-Power adapter for said amp died
-Finally want to get it working again
-Amp wants 15v DC in
-Need to know where to find new adapter

look for an adapter with the amperage and voltage you need. You can splice in the old connector if your new supply is different. alternatively you could try ebay for an exact match.
