Nintendo have just shot us an email (from a CANNON) letting us know what's coming out on the Wii and DS up to the northern summer. Metroid haters will be pleased to know it's nowhere to be seen.rnrnApril sees Super Paper Mario, May has Mario Party 8, June gets Big Brain Academy and Pokemon Battle Revolution and...that's it. The rest is mostly filler (read: ports or multiplatform cash-ins) and movie tie-ins. The DS? Pokemon Pearl & Diamond aside, it's just as bad.rnrnSo no Metroid. July, maybe, but I'm not holding my breath. Wii drought? I didn't think it'd actually come to pass, but with the slim-pickin's on offer on this list, maybe. Maybe.rnrnClick article for Release Schedule

Almost a repeat of the DS, but the Wii actually had one or two excellent launch titles, and has had a couple good releases since then (namely Wario Ware, SSX).

Super Paper Mario looks fun; hopefully it has enough replayability.

These lists are bogus. There are more games coming out than just that.

Well it's a list of the heaviest hitters, though I'm sure a few of the smaller titles will be worth checking out. I'll be using the downtime to sit down and actually play through Trauma Center which has been neglected since I bought it.

And I'll probably give Tiger Woods and Godfather a go whenever they hit.

I really don't see a drought. Its not nearly as bad as the 360/PS3 in my opinion. At launch we had some great games in the form of Zelda, Trauma Center, Excite Truck, and Wii Sports, with a number of other good/decent games. Jan had WarioWare. Not my personally cup of tea, but a great party game. Then Feb had a decent Sonic game, and the awesomeness of SSX. March has some hit or miss ports, but early april has Super Paper Mario, which looks to be almost as awesome as New Super Mario Bros.

i'd say more awesome

it has the bad assness of the side scrolling marios but the depth of an RPG
