what's a good skill to go with tailoring?

I have herbalism but it's worthless without alchemy

I also hate enchanting

Skinning? You need leather to make boots/bags. And most other crafts need leather at some point to make shit.

I'm skinning/tailoring. You need leather to make some of the patterns, and skinning's a good money maker.

mining makes great money, unless your tailoring is really high, I'd go mining/skinning until you have enough to buy your epic mount....

You make a ton with the resource gathering talents, so why waste time on anything else ^_^

meh it's not too expensive doesn't fit any engineering with the way people inflate copper and iron prices on most servers.

Copper and Iron? You seen Silver and Gold lately? I don't even want to hear about the low to mid-level gems either (Moss Agate, Lesser Moonstone, etc.)

360+engineering is ridiculous. I almost hope that that scope off Attumen doesn't drop so that I don't have to skill up to use it.

360+ BS is evil as well.

BS and Eng are by far the most evil profs to skillup to max.

The "best" smithing pattern for 360+ is 24 Eternium Ore, 36 Fel Iron Ore PER SKILLUP, and that's a dropped pattern (which I don't have). It sucks.

But still skinning always turns something simply because everyone else needs leather for their crafting. 300 Leatherworker, 275 Blacksmith and 300 Tailor and it always irks me how I have to head to AH on my smith and tailor simply to find leather to make some stuff (usually bags and weapons). I go looking for leather a lot more than my leatherworker goes looking for other crafted materials (usually 1 - 2 potions, an iron buckle, and occasionally a bolt of something).

yep, I have been lucky to get the felsteel helm plans and I have crafted one for myself, gonna make a few more to hand out to guild tanks and sell the rest so I can at least hit 370 and see what my options are from there.

360->365 I made 5 pairs of those felsteel whispering knives for our 5 most active rogues.

BTW you can also get some decent skillups thru your aldor/scryer rep rewards, esp the scryer ones for the enchanted adamantite pieces.

Yeah I've been skilling on The Enchanted Scryer Belt and the Knives, I'm at 370 now... Home stretch...

Skinning, Mining and Herbalism make great cash, particularly of the post BC resources.

I hit 375 BS last night--Felsteel Helm was my savior. I had a ton of mats from collecting the cheapest buyouts over 5 or 6 days and ground out 353-375.

Now everyone and their mom wants Eternium Rods.

I like tailoring for the simple fact that EVERYONE always wants bags and usually willing to pay a nice price for them

I usually pair tailoring with enchanting when it's not skinning. Make cheap greems to DE as I level for easy enchanting mats. Plus the bags were always a bonus.
