It makes it a waste of time to post anything on this forum.
*edit* they deleted the following threads that weren't even inactive for half a week:
1) new hudbot (http://www.team5150.com/~andrew/project.hudbot/) release
2) info about scripting muted voices
3) info about tribes textures and .vols
Can someone PM me a better forum to use for tribes (since if you post it here it will probably just get deleted)

? i can see those threads, are you sure you havenīt set the forum to display just the threads that had posts within the last 24hours?

Yeah the default for this forum seems to be to display last 24 hours only - so you have
to go to the bottom and say "last 2 weeks" and "show threads" as an example.
The other tribes forum has a longer default.
So we might ask for the mods to increase the default on this forum instead of blaming them
for removing posts and threads (not that there is anything wrong with that!).

My apologies to the moderators for my abrupt assumptions.
I did mention in my initial post
the following threads that weren't even inactive for half a week
which is why I assumed they were deleted and not hidden. The threads with posts from Saturday had disappeared when I read it on Monday. There are thousands of forums out there, hundreds of which I'm subscribed to. This is the first forum I've seen that exhibits such an odd default behavior. I rarely go in and read/customize every preference and setting on every forum. Most of them have fairly consistent defaults.
I'm not sure why someone would want to hide an active thread when there were posts that just hadn't been read yet over the weekend. I'm assuming it's set that way to save bandwidth consumption because the default autologout time is lower than most forums as well (and I'm really not too concerned about someone else being able to access my tribal war forum account). Also the option to show a maximum of 20 threads per page seems low, but that's at least a reasonable default. I don't pay the bills for this site but looking at what default setting the majority of active users have might be a better indication of what defaults to use if it can fit into the budget. May I put forth for your consideration adjusting the default configuration to increase user friendlyness?
I'm a vet++ because I needed to be subscribed here to show up on our clan roster on the base CTF 10 vs 10 ladders that used to thrive here before tribes2 came out and tribes1 went stagnant.
