Anybody cleared this yet? It's a beast of an instance. Share your thoughts and strats.

Tried today with a decent group:

69 Pally
70 Warlock
70 Warrior
70 Priest
70 Rogue

Our best attempts involved the Pally gathering up the non-elite adds with concecrate and holding them down while the lock tossed seeds of corruption into the packs. The rogue and lock were primarily DPSing down the portal bosses.

We cleared through to Aeonus once and wiped. Got back in before Medivh fell so we had another shot. Unfortunately I (warrior) engaged and Aeonus immediately time stopped and aggrod to the priest because of a renew tick. Basically an instant wipe. I think we could have taken him if we had time to get set and perform.

We cleared through to Temporus again and wiped. How do you deal with the stacking healing debuff? He's immune to taunt and we didn't really have another tanking option available even if we could get aggro. In retrospect I suppose the Pally should have BoPed me at 5-6 debuffs and then whoever gets aggro just deals with it (evasion tanking, drain life, etc?) until my debuffs wear off and I can get aggro back.

I really like this instance but it's brutally unforgiving. Any slip ups essentially force instance resets.

70 dest lock
70 fire mage
70 prot warrior
70 holy priest
70 feral druid

run to where you start the even, aoe down all the crocs and random shit that aggros you and clear around the portals before you start. we had everyone except the mage dps what came out of the portals, was pretty easy. ninja drinking after a portal when you could, etc..

1 Healer max, if they can't hack it, get a new healer.

It sorta blows for paladins, since they are so gimp at healing multiple targets who are getting hit by AoE etc, but grouped with a shadow priest makes it really easy.

did it a couple times last night with a warrior, druid (myself), priest, shaman, lock, all 70. again today with me, rogue, druid, priest, lock, this time with the rogue and druid at 69. all 3 runs seemed fairly trivial to me, basic strategy was just to have the lock on adds, rest of the group on the elite.

for temporus, you just have to dps him down before the healing debuffs stack up too much. theyll clear themselves occasionally unless you have shit luck. for the 3rd run, i tanked, and ended up killing him with it stacked up to 10 with me around 15% health.

aeonus just needs a decent amount of mitigation and/or a healer that can outlast him. ended up tanking him in my dps gear rather than my bear set (8k less armor) and was taking regular 1.1k hits, so.. just need to be prepared for alot of physical damage.

just offtank temporus for 2 healing debuffs if u can, have the war 2hand it from the start to build of aggro, then pull it off the first tank and u are golden

let the adds go by on the boss fights, then kill em after the boss.

Didn't read previous posts.

Best group will be 1 healer, 1 warrior, 3 DPS (pref ranged for at least 2)

My group was Holy Paladin, Arms Warrior, Fire Mage, Fire Mage, Hunter
One mage focused on adds
Rest on DPS on Lord.

Save 1-2 of the dragons for the final fight. The second boss is harder than the last, imo.

Pallies can heal this fine.

I agree that boss 2 is the hardest part, but there is a nifty trick your tank can pull off if he or she is good that makes it pretty trivial. If you keep an eye on the timer of your debuff and run away after a knockback, you can get the debuff to expire. Otherwise, he's a dps race that will likely require your war to shieldwall.

Pallies can heal this fine if they pop a lot of pots or just have good luck

You need lots of DPS, and need only one healer, and one tank. Its easier if you have a warrior tank, but a bear will do fine.

I had 1 Mage, 1 lock, 1 bear, 1 hunter and me a shaman. I did it from both the healing and dps perspectives, the second time substituting the hunter for another druid. The key is to have only the ranged dpsers taking down the adds, and get them down quick enough that your healer has time to get out of combat and drink before the next pull. A warrior definitely makes the second boss easier and with bloodlust we were able to down him with only 7 stacking debuffs. The second boss really makes or breaks the group and I've heard of bringing 2 tanks and the warrior being the first one will tank until 6 debuffs and drink an invulnerablity pot which will toss aggro to the other warrior. Of course we do not have any 70 paly's to pop a bubble and have the same effect. Besides that the place gives a ton of rep and a great healing staff drops there.

Are you speaking of the heroic version of this instance? Or just the regular version...

It has been buggy for us when we ran it a week ago or so. One time we waited 3 mins for each portal to spawn after killing the previous. Another (with the same group) the last boss was attacking the shield before we killed the 17th one. It was weird.

For the second boss you can either have a hunters pet tank it till it (the pet) dies, or a rogue evasion, or if you have a pally just tell everyone to run away and bop the tank when he gets to ~5 debuffs.

Putting your summoned dragons on the boss itself gets them banished immediatly, if you put them back towards medivh then they last a little while.

Haven't had any trouble with it, though we were all 70 when we ran it. The warrior legs from revered are retarded (123 stam with enchants and gems equipped).

the final boss doesn't wait for you to finish wave 17. If he's hitting Medivh before you finish wave 17, you should try to get more DPS.

You are all retarded. It is the most inconsistent instance in the game. Half of the time you get the portals spawning at a rather fast rate, meaning you have to keep up with them and rush between them (not very hard). 40% of the time you get like a 2 minute break between portals, and 10% of the time it bugs out and starts spawning multiple portals at the same time.

BELIEVE THE STATS

"You are all retarded"... what an ass. Thanks for pointing out it's bugged because that hasn't been addressed.

Your ego gets in the way of your reading comprehension.

You just made a post saying that you should get more DPS if the boss spawns before the wave is over, how is not that a completely retarded statement when the waves come at different intervals almost every time.
