Any reason I would go down in rank?

Got to Master Sergent Gold, then went back down to Silver the next day. Help?

mabye they base rank on win/lose ratio? who knows thats how they do it on C&C generals

I think it has to do with the current amount of people in the slot, ie the e-8 slot
