But when you abuse /whois info and call someone up in the middle of the night threatening to rape them that's another story. That skirts into criminal territory and if those women so wish they could file lawsuits against the ones who did and possibly catch TW.com in the crossfire.

I'd rather not come here finding I get 404'd to TW because you dipshits are too stupid to realize harassing someone and threatening rape using a personal phone number can easily be considered a crime.

You know, that statement would hold true if he had actually called her, BUT HE DIDN'T. He posted PUBLICLY AVAILABLE information, which was not wrong in anyway. You keep trying to mislead this forum by condemning him for the actions of others. HE DIDN'T CALL ANYONE. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what he did. He posted information that could have been used for numerous reasons, the fact that others took it and used it wrongfully is not his fault.

IF someone takes action (and I agree, this is a big if), all that crap is out the window - naptown's in the middle of it and they aren't going to see the finer points of any ethical/legal TW argument.

they are going to be very interested at how naptown and whoever made the call are connected. they are going to draw conclusions that those two people worked together even if they didn't. in the real world, which this may become a part of, they aren't going to go after the one person who made the call, they are going to throw a net over it all. these people don't know how TW works.

naptown shares a small part of the blame in this. The people that actually called are obviously more to blame, but naptown knew people were going to call this woman (he probably wanted it to happen as well).

First off, I never posted or registered anything with CouponForum.com unless it had to do with and me trying to get that thread shut down. I also never called anyone late at night and said stupid shit.

I didn't even know this all happened until I got into work this morning. As far as me still having a job...I have no idea at this point. I got to work, saw all the traffic coming from TW and read about it on page one. Thats about when I got sick to my stomach almost puked and came home. My boss was not there yet, but I had his phone number at home and called him up and explained the situation. I'm at home now, not sure if I still have a job or not.

I really enjoyed working there, so this really sucks.
