What type of bankroll is needed (NEWB)

I am up about 100 bucks after getting my free 50. Should I move up from .10 to .25? What is the rule of thumb for bankroll? Is there a point where you shouldn't go past? ie. 1.00 5.00?

I read somewhere that your bankroll should be 300-500 x your blinds... That seems like a lot do you guys agree?

no its not alot, and if you're new to the game you should have more

600 big blinds or 20 buyins for nl. 300 big bets for limit.

if you're just playing for fun then this doesn't matter.

To have a stable bankroll, 20-30 buy-ins is a must at NL, 300 BB at Limit.
