Ok fuck quake wars and 2142

Just found out about this game as I understand it, it is being developed in Russia or some such so don’t worry about system specks all there players are like 3 years behind the western world in the comp gen. Now I know it aint new and shiny perty but looking at these vids it is comparable to what I currently play bf2 at so graphics aint that important to me. But the game play innovations are astounding. civilians, trees that fall down when a tank hits them, the enormous size of the maps and the numbers of folks on them 3rd person view in a tank with a RETICULE, leaning around cover to fire like Rainbow six. Check out the 3 mile view distance, bullet ricochets and BLOOD, GLORIOUS BLOOD

i see they didn't really improve building destruction. realistic building implosion/damage would increase immersion immensily.

This is a SIM not a game, America's Army is pure arcade compared to Armed Assault.

most people can't take the realism factor.

German version has gone gold, UK version not till next year and still no word on a US publisher picking it up. They've been using Starforce protection to keep the betas and PR demos from the warez scene and it is yet to be seen if whoever publishes it what form of protection they end up using, even online distribution formats can use Starforce.

You said Starforce. I think you just lost anyone that was interested.

The rumor is that it's up to the publisher to pick the form of protection, some say that the german version for example won't be using Starforce (yet to be proven though). The UK publisher dodged the question in a recent interview only saying that there will be some form of protection.

The official Arma Forums are run by some fag who likes to sit back and lock threads left and right, unless it's praise for the game etc. If you comment on the use of Starforce you'll most likely be banned.
