Audio separation

I used a digital recorder to record a phone conversation. I can hear my voice just fine but cant hear the other side of the conversation at all. When I play it on windows media player I can see those cool lines and designs as if it is picking up sound when the person I am talking to is speaking.

Is there a way to separate the my voice from the other and enhance the persons voice I am talking to so I can hear them on the recording?

Thanx!

get an audio editing program like cooledit or soundforge or something else and mess with the filters

Try Audacity

It's free and you will be able to boost the weak areas. If your mic simply did not pick up enough signal from the other end, you may be screwed
