USB 2.0 Situation

(17:44:30) EndR: I have a lacie 250 gig sata ext hd, connecting it through USB2, but I am not sure if it's at USB 2 speeds or utilizing USB 2, how do I check and if it is assigned to a specific port, how do I find that port?

usb1 is really slow, you would know right off the bat.

Well, it's possible that 1 set (2) of the USB ports may be a USB1 controller, but pretty unlikely unless the computer came out right when USB2 came out. But as invar said, there is like a 30x speed difference, so yeah you'd probably notice pretty quick.
