Did I do something wrong or is this some of the worst luck you could ever get? I tried to somewhat slow play the aces since people in the early low stakes are generally very loose and you can usually bust them right away with a good pocket pair. Needless to say, I'm done with poker for today.

Just need to vent after such a thing. I'm not the best player in the world, so any advice would be appreciated.

first, you mini raised with aces, you're going to get a lot of bogus callers doin that..

2nd hand.... your kings got cracked.. oh shit it happens

What Daredevil said...

Since people are loose early on, take advantage of it and get some chips in the pot pre-flop.

:mecry: at the mini raise.

I kinda wanted a lot of callers with the aces because you're going to win most of the time with them. Hopefully someone hits top pair then turn around and get creamed. That's basically what happened except he hit a full house on the turn. Is that such a bad play?

aces are great against 2-3 players once a lot of money is in the pot

mini raising was your mistake

4-Handed Preflop - Aces have like a 45% victory rate. So no, you didnt have a great chance of winning there. The hands you want to be in with lots of people are suited connectors. Increase your pot odds dramatically.

not your pot odds but a somewhat loose term, your implied odds

never ever min raise, noobs like me ( :) ) will call for sure if we have anything, and on experienced tables they will call/raise and then hammer you when they make their set.

Pick a raise from 2 and 1/2 to 4xs the BB and raise that much the entire game. Then you cant get blamed for unexcusable betting patterns. :)

At least you folded on the first game, although you probably should have folded right after the turn considering there was a DAMN good chance he had 3 of a kind. (and subsequently a full house)

Yeah, that's why I folded. After he calls when there's a pair on the board and then the board pairs again, there's a very good chance I'm beat. But people play really dumb so I wanted to bet the turn to make sure he had something.
