BF2 error

Whenever I load BF2 now the game will begin to load, go to a black screen (changing resolutions) and then will go to desktop. EVERY TIME.

I have re-installed and i still get the same error.

try deleting your ../My Documents/Battlefield 2/ folder and then try firing it back up.

Any change to the resolution? A different monitor?

When I was at the ocho, I brought my laptop. I usually ran it with my Dell 20", but went back to the screen for the lan. I had the EXACT same problem. Bodyshot and I troubleshot and used another gamers monitor - it worked fine. I then chose the other monitor in the settings and rebooted.

Played fine

same monitor... and no changes of desktop resolution in ages.
1280x1024

game resolution hasn't changed in forever either 1024x768

Did you fix this? I just now started having the same problem. Except I can't even uninstall the game. The uninstall crashes to the desktop every time. I also can't reinstall the game because the install program (the one that autoruns when you insert the cd) also crashes to the desktop.
