Kerosene31 09-05-2006, 10:27 AM Changelog: GAMEPLAY TWEAKS - The vehicle drop has been modified to help prevent exploits such as blocking enemy vehicles, destroying vehicles and commander assets, or as an alternative to artillery. - C4 tossing distance has been reduced. - A prone->crouch delay has been added. BUG FIXES - Fixed the Linux server hangs when trying to load a Special Forces Co-Op map. - Another attempt at fixing the Red/Blue nametag bug. - Fixed the missing server info on the map briefing screen. - Fixed the server browser issues with updating info. - Fixed the filter by maps size option in the server browser. - Fixed a low reproducibility crash bug related to the vehicle drop. - Fixed a crash in Co-op after a player is revived without a kit. - Fixed a server crash on Linux 32 when trying to rotate maps in Coop Mode. - Fixed the occasionnal red distance marker appearing on the ground. - Fixed the bug that caused the player's arms to become invisible when switching weapons. - Co-Op bot console commands now function on local servers. - Fixed the excessive damage taken by the Muscle Car. - Adjusted the minimum number of players to start the round on ranked servers. Well i have a few complaints already. *3 CTD after fresh install of BF2 and Full Patch * I still see the red/blue bug Pro's. *game ran smooth after getting past the CTD. *New map is nice but MEC gets rolled everytime unless the team is good *Infantry kicked ass and i liked it alot. *Woohoo no more cartillary. The instaprone is worse than ever, people using their keyboard scripts to quickly jump, go prone switch to iron sights / scope and start blasting away. You're dead before they hit the ground. I did a whole page write up on the map including suggestions on how to fix the zerg rush of US forces, almost everyone agreed with me on the beta forums (both UK and TotalBF2) they didn't implement one suggestion. I tell ya if the game gets to the point were all u see is script kiddies abusing this then i think i wil call it quits for this game. The should make it so that NO G-15 keyboard scripts can be used or PB will kick ya. Dangerdoggie 09-05-2006, 04:41 PM In 2142 when you go prone with a support machine gun (The equivalent of the PKM etc) You start out with a wide cone of fire which is represented by your crosshairs, after you’ve been in the prone position for a second or two the crosshairs settle down, now here’s the kicker – your gun is more accurate the longer you fire, however right now they put a cap on how long you can fire, it overheats really fast. oh and you also have to fight the recoil too, cone of fire and they added in a breathing effect that causes your aim point to drift up and down, some more so than others (sniper). They really did their all out best to make sure the support class sucks in BF2142. Ya I only play support while on the other teams titan, people are always running out of ammo trying to take out panels or the reactor. Usually I just cover people taking out panels, I lay on the ground and cover the hallway. It is usually reasonable because you have enough time to wait for crosshair shrink down. How exactly is this an exploit though? I mean, that's how I've always played, go prone and iron sight someone when you want to shoot at them because it's more accurate. Is the game supposed to stop you from going prone or something? | ||
