I own BF2, but I don't play much anymore. How exactly is this an exploit though? I mean, that's how I've always played, go prone and iron sight someone when you want to shoot at them because it's more accurate. Is the game supposed to stop you from going prone or something?
Going prone is fine...
The problem is the script out there that lets you jump, go prone in mid-air, then fire immediately with great accuracy. I haven't played bf2 much before and didn't try the beta patch, so maybe this is OFN.

I swear the guy was firing before he hit the ground too. The jumping and going prone makes them harder to hit, while they fire back at you with pinpoint accuracy. While if I go prone normally, it takes a second for the sight to come up and be accurate.
