For the last two days ive been trying to figure out why I cant get my tuner to work.
My system setup is as follows:
Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 500 MCE White box PCI Interface Tuner Card - Retail
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Manchester 2.0GHz Socket 939 Dual Core Processor Model ADA3800BVBOX
CORSAIR XMS 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered Dual Channel Kit
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD4000KD 400GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive - OEM
Shuttle 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Black E-IDE / ATAPI Model CR40B - Retail
Shuttle XPC SN21G5 AMD Socket 939
BFG Tech BFGR78256GTXOC Geforce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
only once have i been able to view tv, and it was through win tv 2000. since that, whenever i try to configure the tuner in MCE it says that the tuner isnt found. One thing I noticed is that both my video card and my tuner card share the same irq, but im not sure if thats the problem. Ive tried so many driver versions, each time using hwclear. No luck at all.
