LCD monitor recommendations

i'm moving out of my parents house soon, so i'm looking for a new monitor that takes up less space than my trusty old 19" CRT. i've never really done research into LCD monitors, so i don't really know where to begin.

i didn't really like the old ones i saw when it came to playing games, but this was 4 or 5 years ago now, and i'd figure that the technology has improved since. i'm looking for something at least 19", i'd say my budget is somewhere around $250, but i'm flexible.

so, teedub, what would you recommend?

I've used this Acer (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E1682 4009073) for a few months. No dead pixels or bleeding, and runs games well.

This ViewSonic is probably one of the best and fastest(response time) 19' LCDs out there and this has free shipping for $264.00:

Invar is probably the most knowledgeable "computer stuff:" guy around here, so take his advice/suggestions FTW.

From his link: "Gamers should look to the ViewSonic VX922."

Nah, I doubt it. I probably just post the most, but thanks for the kind words. :)
