getting exalted with a faction

I've been searching around for information on how much runecloth it takes to get exalted with a faction, say thunderbluff for example. Is there a website that breaks that stuff down, or can give an estimate on how much runecloth/money is needed? All i know is that im 5K iinto honored and i know it'll take me a while to get to exalted.

wowwiki should have it, for darnasus and other factions its: 1 stack = 50 rep.

420 stacks for Revered->Exhalted
or 8400 runecloth

320 stacks for you assuming 5k into revered
6400 runecloth for you to get there

or 384g if you spend 1.2g for a stack (low estimate but attainable -- especially if you buy in bulk)

I looked into this a few months ago when I wanted my dwarf to have a cat mount. All i can say is that it's not worth it, I farmed so much crap for the AQ gates and turned it in for darn rep and bought runecloth, it's just a waste for a different looking mount. It becomes exceedingly more tiresome when you do that on top of raiding (if you are raiding). I would just suggest lvling up a new toon starting in the faction city that you want. I started a new dwarf in Darnassus and was honored by lvl 15 just doing every Darn quest I could. I am almost revered now with him at lvl 39. However, I have stopped going after the Tiger/Cat mount as I realized how big of a waste of time it is :)

If you did it during the war effort you made money.

Buy runecloth at ~3g per stack (medium price during war effort on my server) make the bandaids, do the turn-in, d/e the item, sell the enchanting mats for 3-10g. Use the money to buy more runecloth, repeat. My friend did it for all three other factions, and came out about a thousand gold on top. He pulled some decent blue items from the boxes, ie assassination blade.

The only annoying part he says was coming back to the computer to make his character stand back up after he flagged afk while making the uncountable bandages.
