Lord Elessar 07-27-2006, 10:45 PM we were having problems with our stun chains on the guards. They start ok but they get lose and then Sartura gets loose and we lose all our range dps. Is there a trick to positioning or stun chains we're missing or do we just need to dps everything down faster?
Skibbi9 07-27-2006, 10:48 PM what we've do: pally pull, warrior taunt/spread, rogues have evasion rotation where they stay in on the Main Assist Battlegaurd for added dps.

Lord Elessar 07-27-2006, 11:02 PM we got the adds down but only had paladins, 3 warriors, druid, 2 priests and 2 rogues left. not enought dps lived to kill her before hard enrage. We did get the Proph and the 3 Bugs down tonight. Our first time in there so I think it was a good run overall. Used mage pull with IB instead of paly.

A warrior should easily be able to solo tank an add without any stuns as long as he doesn't get punted across the room. Watch target of target for when the mob loses interest, then taunt. Two warriors can hold down Sartura almost the same way.
If ranged DPS is getting killed, they're fucking up. http://sartura.ytmnsfw.com/ pretty much covers it. If you get aggro, you run. It takes only a few seconds before Sartura changes her target again and you're safe. Spread the ranged out; it's a huge room.
Lord Elessar 07-27-2006, 11:34 PM yeah I actually couldn't figure out why the mages were all dying. I didn't have a problem losing agro from her and when I moved I was safe. I think they just need to pay attention.
Smaqaho 07-27-2006, 11:39 PM Tell them to stay out of range of her whirlwinds and they won't die like pansies. Same can be said for any cloth-wearing class. Evasion as a strat is a terrible idea. Save that for when shit hits the fan to hold things over until a tank can pickup aggro. If people can stay a fair distance from Sartura it's a very easy fight, just let the rogues stun and 2 tanks keep her under control then collect loot.
Defaced 07-28-2006, 01:47 AM It really helps if your rogues don't suck.
Me and another rogue in my guild can keep her stunned from the instant her WW ends until her ww breaks the stun. So if you have two good rogues that can survive the portion of the fight with the adds, you are golden.
Also, we don't get pally hammer of the gay/bubble. We have to pick it up off an intercept stun.
Swamp Kitten 07-28-2006, 02:16 AM We stunlock adds to kill and use taunt rotations on Sartura... but we've also got the gear to make it through using very few stuns on Sartura.
There's a plethora of ways to do it, as you can see.

challenging shout/mocking blow also
we have a rogue on each add assisting with stuns, and a hunter pulling them back to the warrior if they start to run...
scandal 07-28-2006, 10:30 AM As said before, you definitely need to have your dps be aware of which mobs are around them and run if the mob starts WW.
Violent 07-28-2006, 02:24 PM One thing that worked for us, have a warrior and two rogues on the main assist add. Conc Blow, Cheap Shot, Cheapshot, Taunt. If the casters cant finish the add off in the 16 seconds that it is stunned or taunted. You need to find new casters.

You mean the 8 seconds that it's stunned, before it goes immune? (11 if you count taunt)

Anyway, we have rogues on the left of the room, they distract an add from the group and open up with stuns, dps burns it down while we have a single tank on it, we have 1 tank per the other adds and a backup tank ready with intercept
Sartura is pulled to the extream right side of the room, a tank, healers, and soullink warlock along with a hunter are station'd with sartura, on the pull a hunter shoots sartura to pull her to hte right and we control her while the adds are burned
again, this fight was fucking tailor made for alliance, lol, have ur paly's use half a brain and have ur dps go balls out and keep themselves healed as well with pots if need be.
