I think the real question is is your guild going to hold the AQ gates "for ransom" some more than a few guild reportedly did?

Haven't gotten into anything MC and beyond though, poor 60 warrior in reasonable tanking gear parked on a Normal server but now my only chance at the 20-man ones is getting to 60 on Deathwing and raiding with the couple of PUG raid guilds they have there.

My guild, Forge, got Nef down in 3 1/2 hours last night! We got our final shard and made the scepter. Going to be opening the gates sometime next week. It was such a great fight, our raid leader was PUMPED on vent when we got to the 21% point. We held all dps and got the druid class call. Then we just smashed him because we had only lost 1 person total so far (dps warrior). Many of you are in major raiding guilds and know what it feels like to achieve something that's been in the works for months (our server just opened this past Jan.).

Anyhow on to AQ we go! I am looking forward to start raiding here as we plow through MC and BWL and this leave too much open time. We need a new instance.

I hear AQ 20 is weaksauce and is easier than ZG. Hopefully it will be a good offnight instance.

Just out of curiosity how was the economy during the War Effort? I know when it hit on established servers prices skyrocketed on everything as 60s were spending massive amounts of coin buying and turning in. I'd like to hear what it would have been like on a young server, where coin is in much lower supply.

You haven't gotten into MC and beyond because no self-respecting guild would ever take a completely shit-ass noob like you.

The price increase didn't happen over night but it did happen. Thorium Brotherhood is a medium size server that has gained a TON of new people over the past couple of months. Since it's a RP server and they were only releasing PvP or PvE ones a steady stream of new people keep coming. Transfers have increased our size too. No one is leaving and everyone is coming. We also had a solid group of gold farmers before they all got banned. It was kind of nice because they were DM teleport hacking and I got my Foror's for like 150g.

I've seen 450 on Wildhammer, and usually 1-2k (Was 2k before AQ came out) on Ner'zhul. 150g is amazing.

Agreed, Wildhammer Alliance-side it's usually near 700g or so. Harder to get more of a pattern down because I don't see it on AH too often now, maybe one every couple of weeks.

Every time I see a copy of Furor's I can't help but remember that one paladin in a BRD pug I was in. He was at the point the blade mold was made and you need to have Onyxia breathe on it. Apparently he used it in his backpack and it dropped to the ground as an object. Held up the group for a good 3 - 5 minutes as he scrambled to try and get it back and then watch it decay.

Did he ever figure out that you can just get it again?

yep 150g. we had about 10 farmers doing the DM thing for about 3 weeks and they had nearly 20 books up. No one was buying so they just had to keep dropping the price. This was before anyone had even killed Ony on our server. We are the main raid guild and we were still gearing up in UBRS when they were doing this. Nearly all our warriors and paladins gobbled those books up and we all got a nice cheap epic sword :)
