Widescreen

Is it possible to run BF 2 in widescreen? It is only giving me two video resolution options.

Also, my game keeps crashing every time i get halfway through loading a map, I cannot even play.

Patch it in the right order, maybe. BF2, SF, Latest Patch.

Widescreen fix, and no BF2 doesn't support true widescreen, you won't be able to see more on the sides than somebody playing standard 4x3.

I think there is a hidden option to get more resolutions by modifying a .ini file or something. Not sure as I play on a 4:3 screen, but I seem to recall.

that should do it. Again theres no REAL way to put it into widescreen format but thats the best way to make it widescreen and it looks natural.

EDIT2: What monitor do you have... is it good in BF2? I have been thinking about going widescreen and need advice... what do you have?

I've seen it on the Dell 2005Fpw (that's the 20 in. widescreen i believe).

I also think there is a newer model out of the 20 and 24 inches. However, it looks sexy on the Dell my friend has.
