The warrior and paladin PvP sets look the same actually (well, the GM ones do).

Warriors don't typically carry around tomes, but with what Blizzard is doing to their lore, I don't know what to think.

the paladin set is yellow the warrior set is gray

i just dont think they'll have paladins because there's no BE shaman

we'll know in a day or two so im not sure why im speculating

Horde already have 3 shaman races. Eredar would be Alliance's third paladin race.

And while the armor actually may look like the warrior one, what's the deal with the libram?

All speculation though. The WoW boards are going nuts.

if so, at least then, you could be a Human Paladin and feel unique for once (since everyone will flock to the new races)

I find the idea of an Eredar Paladin to be mind-numbingly stupid.

Then again, that whole mutated wisp thing is a steaming pile of stupid in the first place, so w/e.

Thread closed.

It is an unmutated Draenei (which apparently have roots in Eredar society). They can be paladins.

if you read the shit on the official wow page, it makes sense.

The Eredar had a society which (ab)used magic, which attracted the attention of Sargeras. The majority of the Eredar race was eventually recruited by Sargeras, but those Eredar that didn't join him ran away and eventually settled on Draenor. They got tracked down eventually and that's when Sargeras realized that the orcs native to Draenor had a lot of potential as a weapon.

However, those Eredar that settled on Draenor had allied themselves with some hyperdimensional beings at some point during their journey to Draenor. Those beings existed as the Holy Light to counter the Burning Legion's darkness. That being said, the fact that they can be priests/paladins is a given, being as how Paladins are all about that holy light garbage.

It all fits together pretty well...although I never would have imagined that the eredar and the Draenai were the same race. I started with WC3, though, so I dont know if they ever made that connection before this announcement.

There's one problem that debunks this, and that's the simply matter of there being Undead priests. The abominations of nature and supposedly "new evil" after the Scourge being Priests of the Light? I doubt given that they are that lore-oriented with class/race restrictions. But then, by that token, if there are UD priests what's to stop Blood Elves from being Paladins a la the other thread talking about one Blood Elf NPC in what looks to be Judgement armor (or something similar to it)?

Blizzard botched it up real good so far, so I don't think they'll be trying to make any "lore corrections" any time soon.

The lead game designer said that this new race was made to have a 'big' alliance race. They are the same size as Tauren.

But I'd like Horde to have some puny character that you cant see in pvp hiding and shooting through the geometry. Please give horde that.
