The Stockades ...

Is there any way for a non-stealther class Horde to get into this instance? Say, a "back door" or something similar?

I'm farming for my twink and there are a lot of very nice drops in this instance that I'd love to be able to go get.

Yeah pretty much sprint through the city to the dungeon. Make sure you know the shortest path to it, would keep dying to a minimal.

Naked sprint like a man for the win. There's no way you're getting around Marcus and the guards at twink levels, so just take it like a man and brute-force your way into the instance.

Once you're past the Trade District the guards are pretty thin, though, so you shouldn't have to res zerg more than twice before you get in.

Well, my level 60 Warrior is doing the farming for my twink rogue and my wife's twink priest. I've toyed with the idea of just buying some gold and using the AH, but decided that with a baby on the way I'd invest some "elbow grease" instead.

Yeah, Stocks drops are crap for the msot part. Only real reason to go to Stocks is for EXP if you're Alliance IMO.

Well, therein lies the connundrum: Thottbot lists a fair number of "decent" to "nice" to "damn!" lowbie blues that drop in The Stockades.

Now, my first 60 was an NE Rogue and I farmed the place with him. There is a really nice lowbie green ring that drops there (+3 agility/+3 stamina) and it is not unique so you can wear two. Other then that item, I don't recall much that dropped there that was BoE *and* worth the time however Thottbot insists ...

So, my thoughts are this: What site has Thottbot's range of data but is known (or at least "strongly believed") to be more accurate then Thottbot? Any ideas? GoblinWorkshop.com? Allakhazam.com? WoWLoot.com?

By the way (rogue and priest), based off Thottbot's database, "Black Fathom Deeps" is by *far* the best farming spot for <level 20 BoE "blues" followed by "Gnomeregan", "Shadowfang Keep" and "The Deadmines".

For these two characters:

BFD: 11 items
Gnome: 7 items
SFK: 5 items
RFK: 4 items
Deadmines: 3 items

Just in case you wanted to know ...

and you can get cookies stirring rod (deadmines quest) for your wand that is under 20. its better than skycaller.

Only thing I remember from the Stocks is the Shanker, some blue dagger only dropped by a rare spawn in there. Decent dagger for it's level but I think that's the only real worthwhile thing in there sans collecting heads/body parts for quests.

Very few of those are world drops. Most drop only within a specific instance; "Assassin's Blade" for instance only drops in SFK and several pieces of the leather armor only drop in RFK.

why not just run the character that needs the better item through the appropriate quest instead?

Cookie's rod isn't from a quest, it's a random drop off Cookie.

Running a 10-19 twink through VC for the rod would bear the risk of the twink leveling to 20 if you wait too long.
