Ok, so Joe used to live in Maine, him and my brother were best friends. As you probably know he moved to Florida about 10 years ago. I was friends with him as well but not as close as my brother. His entire family is actually friends of our family, and my parents recently went down to Florida for Joe's sisters wedding (like a couple months ago).

Here's the even crazier part, my brother is getting married, in 2 days as a matter of fact. Joe is the best man. I am going to Boston tomorrow to hang out with my brother, and Joe is going to be there as well. Tomorrow will be the first time I've seen or talked to Joe in about 8 years. That's really fucking nuts that you posted THAT picture on this day. Damn.

Apparently his sister is pretty strange and the whole thing could be quite awkward but it all turned out better than he expected. And yeah Joe is indeed going out to Boston for a wedding... which is cool since I have to go home for Easter since my dad is converting.

We met a couple years ago here at Lake Forest College. He's the Sports Editor and I took the job as layout editor. We've been pretty good friends since and quite many misadventures here. Oh the stories of him and Cora (his girlfriend) I could tell you. So fucked up. I live in Jacksonville, FL and plan on visiting him in the Keys if he stays around there after he graduates.

Well... IF he graduates. Tell him to stop fucking around in school and start showing up to class. I don't see him around more than a couple times a week since he now has a job in the evenings and he's back with his girl. They've broken up about five times since his freshman year (he's a year ahead of me).

I'm Matt Blumenfeld from Jacksonville, Florida and I attend Lake Forest College. There I am the Vice-Chairman of the campus' chapter of the College Republicans and the editor of the school newspaper. I know, it's a rarity for a conservative to run the press, I was shocked when I was given the position too. I have other background in the press as I was an internet broadcaster for three years and host a political talk show in Lake Forest on WMXM.

As for my hands-on political experience, I was the Assistant Director of Operations for Dr. Kathuria's run for an Illinois' Senate seat in 2004. We lost in the primaries, but it was certainly great experience for a guy who was just a freshman in college at the time! A shame Obama came out on top overall. I do much coordination between various on-campus groups and the CRs and strive daily to increase the power of the conservative movement at my school.

I am a Hamiltonian when it comes to how I think the federal government should operate, but a Jeffersonian in terms of how much authority they should have. In essence, I want the feds to be energetic and the president to not be subordinate to Congress, but I do not want the power of the federal to be as far-reaching as it is today. I am a conservative first, and a Republican second. I hold no allegiance to the party - it is simply a vehicle that I use to get my message of conservatism across!

No I didn't go to the wedding, just my parents, I'm still in school. I don't know a whole lot about him since as I said, I haven't seen or really talked to him in about 8 years, but my mom did mention all the stuff about him practically failing out of school. The last time I saw him was when I was in 6th grade I believe, our family went down to visit/stay with them for a week and we went to Disney World, fuck that was a long time ago.

I really can't emphasize how fucked up that after all the time we've BOTH been on this forum (almsot 5 years), that the one day you post a picture of yourself that happens to have your friend in it that happens to be a guy I used to be friends with in Maine 10 years ago before he moved who I haven't seen in 8 years who I happened to be seeing TOMORROW, and will be hanging out with him and my brother before my brothers wedding (think half-assed bachelor party).
