Am i missing anything if i do not somehow take them all down? ilys 04-12-2006, 04:55 AM You cannot take them all down without completing the main quest, but they are a good source for sigil stones until you do. piotrr 04-22-2006, 03:14 AM And after you've completed the main quest, the Reusable Oblivion Gate mod can help: http://www.tessource.com/files/file.php?id=2925 Breadman86 04-26-2006, 03:50 AM So will they pop up infintely all over the place until I complete the main quest? So I'll have like, busted Oblivion gates everywhere after the main quest and I won't be able to get rid of em? Fool 04-26-2006, 08:46 AM No once you finish the main quest all the oblivion gates are destroyed. MikSchultzy 04-26-2006, 10:05 AM No once you finish the main quest all the oblivion gates are destroyed. Do they disapear and "fix" the land? ilys 04-26-2006, 12:43 PM They dont "fix" the land, it's still scorched as if you had closed it yourself. Breadman86 04-26-2006, 01:32 PM So if you do the main quest without going into many Oblivion gates (thus preventing more and more to pop up), the land will be less scorched than if you had waited and tried to close them all yourself? ilys 04-26-2006, 02:01 PM They still "pop up" regardless of whether you close some or not. I only went into the gates that I needed to for the main quest and the land is still littered with charred landscapes where gates used to be. MikSchultzy 04-26-2006, 11:44 PM They still "pop up" regardless of whether you close some or not. I only went into the gates that I needed to for the main quest and the land is still littered with charred landscapes where gates used to be. That kinda pisses me off, actually Because I have cleared about 8 of them now. And if the "For every one closed 2 or more pop up" theory is true... As it is, I cannot go "Half a mile" without seeing 3 of them. Breadman86 04-28-2006, 10:29 PM An endlessly repetative dungeon with lots of enemies and some rewards - that's what an Oblivion Gate holds. What could be better? In all honesty though, do they endlessly pop up again and again as you keep closing? Or can you actually close them all without finishing the main quest (minus the ones that only pop up for the main quest)? So like, you close everything, and then go back to the main quest, and you won't have to deal with any more except for the ones that the main quest force you to go into to do stuff. Possible? Anyone tried? Akela 04-29-2006, 04:31 AM You have to finish the main quest to close them all. And then, if you miss the supply of sigil stones, there's a mod that allows you your very own Oblivion gate hidden in an Ayleid (sp?) ruin. | ||
