Does it, by chance, keep some of those creatures/mobs at the same level, or at a set level below you? IE, instead of a Deer being X, it is now X-3. (X being your level). While a Bandit Archer, inside Dungeon A, is still X, or X-1. PyroTeknik 03-31-2006, 11:12 AM Depends on the mod. I'm using a few. One makes it so any monster can spawn. I'm level 11 and I've already encountered Wraiths, Ogres, Liches and Land Dreughs, which are pretty damn tough. I've coupled this with a mod that puts a cap on monster levels, so for example bandits can be from lvl 5 to 25, but they'll never go higher than that. Every monster type has had its scale adjusted. Another mod I have messes with the leveled item lists, making it so bandits don't always have the best equipment at high level (kinda retarded seeing a bandit wearing a suit of armor that's worth more than your entire inventory and gold). So far it keeps the game challenging with some nasty surprises here and there, while still being manageable and without having to worry about invincible slaughterfish. I also recommend getting a passive animals mod. I dled one last night but haven't been able to try it yet, supposedly it makes bears, wolves and mountain lions less aggressive (as in, they'll normally ignore you, but if you get too close or you happen to walk by when they're looking for food, they'll attack). It hasn't been updated since, but I've found no problems with it. http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31160 9 for the item scaling, so rare items become indeed rare (it also affects the toughness of some monsters who rely on equipment). http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=29629 5 this mod for the unlocked spawns (meaning that any monster might spawn regardless of your level) If you use those, be prepared to run away sometimes. | ||
