And I've gotten tired of powerleveling my characters. Hence, I have decided to make my own with a little coding knowledge, but no previous morrowind/oblivion scripting knowledge. Anyways, the mechanics of the ones so far bug me. My goal is to remove power-leveling and lessen ninja-wizards from the equations.
Each time you raise a major skill, the corresponding attribute raises one point. When you raise a minor, the corresponding attribute raises .333 points. This would take effect every 10 skill-ups, just like before, but you wouldn't need to rest. The game would auto-level you. Minor skills would be capped at 75. Racial ability modifiers can take you above both the 100 point and 75 point ability caps.
Lastly, so far all the semi-decent leveling mods make health totally dependant on current endurance levels, compared to base Oblivion, where endurance affects how much health you get each level. Personally, I think if you hold off increasing endurance until the end game, and then suddenly having a shit load of HP is extremely ninja-wizardish. I plan on eventually making both health and magika somewhat dependant on current endurance and intelligence levels, and somewhat dependant on how early you invested in those skills. I like having tough decisions about character development.
Also, I would combine this with 3x slower leveling. Comments? Suggestions?
