Well if you want money moderately fast you can always just use the arena.
Quicksave, bet 100 on yellow/blue all the time and just load your save if you lose.

Or open up the console and give yourself gold.

I steal people's food, then make worthless fatigue potions that sell for stupid amounts.

If you're going to cheat by reloading if you don't win you might as well just use the console to give yourself gold.

It's simple, Dorian is always glitched with infinite money. The most basic one is just simply kill him, and you lock the money at either 8-10gold on his persons. As fast as you can click the A button you keep getting 8-10gold.

The better way to do it is to open up the persuasion icon with him, and bribe him a couple times. Be careful not to bribe him too high or you lock him in place and can't bribe or lower his persuasion anymore. Bribe him some, then play the minigame and LOWER his likeness towards you. Once you lower it enough bribe him some more. Rinse and repeat as much as you want.

Once you have bribed a decent amount of coin into him (200-300g is good) go behind him and go into sneak mode, open up the pickpocket screen and look at his inventory. Don't take anything off him yet. Now attack him and kill him, whatever amount you fed into him with bribing should have showed on the pickpocket screen, and now when he's dead he's locked at that amount.

Now you are getting 200-300 per click instead of 10....

Do this till your desired amount, and be aware that you will probably have a gaurd come bust you, just pay the fine you still keep the money. Dorian can be annoying to kill sometimes, make sure you kill him before he gets outside.

The body dissapears after 3 or so ingame days, and sometimes sooner, so any money you want, get it immediately.

I think it's too early to tell, i'm sure 2-3 million would be more then enough considering at the highest levels you can easily obtain shit to sell if you really needed too.
