Terra 03-27-2006, 05:42 AM a) i heard there is a way to own you own shop. true?/false? if so how please.
b) whats the best way to make some money (for house, etc) without doing the dorian cheat?
c) when you kill someone, it says someone watches you. WHO?!
d) when you accidentally take items (aka stealing), it says you stole it, but dropping it does nothing. how do i un-steal mistakenly took items?
Kill Me Plz 03-27-2006, 06:00 AM a) I believe there is only investing in shops. I could be wrong about buying your own shops, but if your talking about investing you need expert mercantile and investing just causes the shop to have a higher capital to work with.
b) Just steal high profile places. Quicksave before you try and steal something, if you fail just quick load and try again.
c) Uhhh not all the time. I've killed people and nobody has known.
d) Just pay the fine. Its the only way to get out of it. Stealing isn't a big fine as long as its not a precious item.
Terra 03-27-2006, 07:09 AM thx.
Wrathchild 03-27-2006, 07:44 AM c) This refers to the Dark Brotherhood, if you kill an innocent person they take note and will murder you in your sleep. Well not exactly, but you'll see.
Travace 03-27-2006, 10:46 AM A) True. You have to be a master in mercantile. ive never deone this just noticed the loading screen says you can invest your money into shops if you are a master of mercantile
B) One way ive heard of to make money is alchamy and by takeing all kinds of cheap items you find like food and stuff thats only worth 1 gold and makeing things out of it then selling. Another way altho could take a while is get your luck up a bit and bet on the Arena, just save before you bet so if oyu lose you reload. Or jsut go through the arean aand once you are the champ once a week you can make a nice chunk of change. Another way is complete guild quests and you then start to make money off those guilds. The easiest way and prolly the most efficient is prolly just to explore and fight your way through dungens, caves, forts and take everything thats droped by people and sell that stuff.
C) its the darkbrother Hood and if you go to sleep right after you murderd someone and see taht someone is watching a guy will visit you and give you a chance to do something to join the darkbrother hood.
D) If you steal something and you have joined the thiefs guild already you can go to one of the fencer's sell the item and then buy the item back and it wont be considerd a stolen item anymore
Terra 03-27-2006, 03:31 PM so theres really no way to kill dorian and get all the money and NOT be seen by the brotherhood?
FalseMyrmidon 03-27-2006, 05:44 PM It's possible to kill people without anyone detecting it but you pretty much have to 1 hit them. The idea is that the sound of combat or the yelling and screaming of the person you're killing is heard by other nearby people or something. (this was confirmed by Bethesda)
Killjoy 03-27-2006, 07:22 PM casting silence works too
MikSchultzy 03-31-2006, 07:01 AM a) As the others said - investing.
b) Dungeon Raids, Alchemy, Participating in the Arena (betting is slower, and less rewarding), Doing Select Quests.
c) As the others said - this refers to the Dark Drotherhood.
d) Use a "Fencer". Here's a location of a couple: (Name - City - Gold - Merchintile)
Ongar in Bruna - 600/60
DarJee in Leyawiin 800/70
Luciana in Bravil - 1,000/80
Orria in Castle Anvil - 1,200/90
Fathis in Imperial City - 1,500/100
Kinda sucks, because I killed Fathis when he attacked me - right after I killed the Orc Bitch under a bridge for her horse. *big grin* ... *sigh* Then that faggotass from the "Brotherhood" came and talked to me in my sleep. What a queer.
Wrathchild 03-31-2006, 09:13 AM so theres really no way to kill dorian and get all the money and NOT be seen by the brotherhood?
Being seen by the brotherhood is not the same as being detected and getting a bounty on your head. The Brotherhood will notice if you kill any "innocent" person.
Getting a one hit kill prevents anyone else from knowing about it, including the guards.
Soldevi 03-31-2006, 05:48 PM Is there any bonus for wearing a full set of something?
I'm thinking no but there's no harm in asking :sunny:
Viggy 03-31-2006, 06:27 PM The only bonus is style points.
MikSchultzy 03-31-2006, 06:44 PM Actually
Pryo is right, I had it confused. Guess my loadtimes are too quick. :o
(Ala the helptips during loading)
PyroTeknik 03-31-2006, 08:47 PM An Expert of light/heavy armor gains no encumberance for any armor equipped. Meaning that if your armor weighs 100 and you're wearing it, it's like you're not wearing anything.
A master gets a 50% bonus to his armor rating when wearing a full set of the appropriate armor.
Viggy 03-31-2006, 08:58 PM That's by general category, though, not specific type, right? Mixing ebony, orcish, and daedric armor still gives you the Heavy bonus, I should think.

It feels like I'm wearing nothing at all.
