poor merchants?

i have 2 staffs, each worth around 7.5k

the most money a merchant has is 1.2k if i'm lucky

how can i change/fix this?

I don't know exactly, but from what I understand you'll eventually get the ability to 'invest' in merchants. Once your mercantile skill is high enough you can use your own gold to boost a merchant's max purchase amount. I haven't gotten to that point yet so I'm not sure exactly how the system works.

I'm sure if you look around, there is (or will soon be) an AddOn that'll increase the merchants' cash reserves

Yep, I'm glad that Glass/Daedric armour isn't worth 20,000+ gold this time. It was retarted to have it and not be able to do anything with it.

I had a mod that put merchants at all of the Almsivi and Divine Intervention teleport spots with one million whatever the money were called in Morrowind. They didn't have full buy value or anything though so I felt that it just removed the tedium but not to the point of cheating. Waiting 24 hours between selling things to Creeper was gay.
