on the right server, such as emerald dream or tichonodorous and a few others. lowbie hardcore twink BGs > *. there is of course a little itemization involved depending on your classes, but the best items for those levels can be acquired rather easily. because items are easier to get, everyone has them which results in greater balance. people are also far more dedicated and better over all than the 60 crowd. when i made the mistake of reaching 60 i noticed the following.
- people who refuse to group thinking it yields less honor (hk farmers) and who dont give a shit and give up hope of ever winning the bg.
- hardcore guilds/groups who steam roll the other side. if the other side happens to be another guild they /afk out because its not optimal for their HK/time performance.
- itemization plays a fairly critical role depending on your class, especially as a warrior, in order to stand a reasonable chance against skilled and decked out players.
so basically it sucks to be in either the hardcore OR the pug groups in high level bgs.
note: these observations were mainly made from the alliance side who generally suck more than horde. however what fun is there in joining horde and steamrolling the noob alliance? hence why i join alliance for the challenge :p:
....... all assuming you enjoy PvP of course. if you dont, then i dont see how this game can be fun at any level --- killing rag/nef/etc for what, items? what are they for? to kill those bosses for the 100th time 0.0001% faster?
my recommendation for lowbie bg's is 20-29 or 30-39. not enough talents/individuality at 10-19. 40-49 has mounts and is generally less popular and therefore harder to get into.
