I'm actually making lvl 29 druids on a few servers just for fun.

What would folks say is the best gear and best build for a lvl 29 druid for raw pvp/wsg action?

EDIT: I think that http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?zZxGzsdb is the way to go for a druid in PvP. Feral owns face in the 20-29 bracket, especially if you're twinked.

If you roll an alliance druid, look into the Tunic of Westfall for your chest.
Also, you can run the Deadmines and pick up the Cape of the Brotherhood for your back. They are both good for feral.

Keep them coming. I know i cant be the only person who will be interested in this stuff.

My next thing is to make a list of relatively reasonable enchants. My druid himself is an enchanter, but i may go with higher lvl stuff in a few cases.

The WSG reward cape is 25 armor, +6 stam, +4 spi and +13 healing.

Cape of the Brotherhood is a good call on the way to 29 (and on the way to honored with WSG). It is 21 armor +6agi and +3 stam.

Tigerstrike Mantle is raw ownage too, if you can spot it and dont want healing crap.

Tunic of Westfall is 92 armor, +11agi, +5 stam (lvl 24). That would own for a rogue/hunter, but i took the staff on that quest.

I'm focused on getting stam and to a lesser extend int and str. I dont care about whetner they are all blues, either. I want the best stats overall i can find and most of the 20-something blue leathers are +agility oriented which doesnt make sense to me for a druid. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the role of agility for a feral druid... but im not banking on crits at lvl 29.

btw, i added Lorekeeper's Staff to my list above having missed in the first run. It's another WSG reward and it's the shiznit for sure.

2238 HP and 1519 armor in bear form at level 29 isn't too shabby. And you've got feline swiftness for running. And plenty of mana (largely thanks to the +22 int enchant) to shapeshift for awhile.

IMO it's pointless to go feral DPS for a druid twink. If you really want to do DPS with a twink, make a rogue or warrior. Caster twinks simply don't benefit from gear nearly as much as non-caster twinks when it comes to damage. And, yes, I know feral druid DPS is based on attack power, but it's so much easier (and effective) to just get an amazing weapon.

That thing is like Ashkandi's for level 29 warriors. And it's easily obtainable. Just imagine if you could have MS or whirlwind at level 29. But the fact that anyone who dodges you is pretty much guaranteed death is more than enough.

trinket from STV arena is awesome at low levels.

I would suggest getting itemrack and 2 sets of gear, rather than a mixture of caster and feral items.

str/agi would be better than an armor kit on gloves.

Good luck getting enough AB to be revered in the lvl 20-29 bracket.

Not really concerned with AB. Interested in WSG play and items :D

For AB, i enjoy lvl 60 more. For WSG, i enjoy the lvl 20s and 30s (pre-mount).

What is the lvl req on the STV trinket? I thought that was in the 30s...

Good spot on a few of those items. I have a few of them myself (i have dense triangle mace and love it).

I dont know if i agree with the idea that feral is worthless at lvl 29. I understand the point about if you want to be dps go warrior/rogue, but it isnt all/nothing.

I love being able to go bear and fuck shit up, but i also love getting at least 1-2 caps per match. This is CTF, man, you do what has to be done.

I def like that talent spec. That's a damn sweet capper spec right there.

Break 2k health is friggin nice for that level. My goal is to jack my stam/str way up and then also try to pile armor back into the build where i can.

I plan on doing a lot of +stam enchants and adding armor where it is best.

For weap enchant, im considering Icy just in case...

I am not at all worried about mana simply cuz im almost never playing healer for an extended time in WSG, and when i DO play healer i can usually hold my own even with just 1400/1500 mana.

I donno... i might change my style of play down the road, but so far im diggin being a capper who can also switch to bear and tank in the midfield.

Timmay also convinced me to try engineering on this char and i think im going to, if not just to have some of the trinkets and a bag full of stun nades. :D

FYI for those skimming this thread, that is a HUGE thread on 20-29 Twink builds for all classes.

I dont think i like his druid spec, but hey... worth some thought.

WSG flag running is fun for a while..... after that i wish i had made a different class so i would be doing something other than bear/cheetah with the flag.

well, i LOVE capping... and always will :D

meanwhile, ive figured out some tricks for staying alive in the middle in cat form... which is fun as hell. if i have healers around, i go bear and just tear crap up too but i find going bear makes me a huge target.

This obviously requires some serious help from higher lvl guildies or such. You also want to make sure you dont toast your XP over lvl 29 in getting it.
