Anyone have info on the tier 0.5 stuff?

I'm currently collecting Devout on the assumption that I need it in order to get access to the new class set stuff. Does anybody know what those new sets look like, how you get them, etc?

You do need to blue dungeon set in order to get it. It's a series of quests, I dunno where they start, and supposedly they cost quite a bit of money to do along with mob farming.

End result = a recolored blue dungeon set. The upgrade to devout is just recolored yellow. Oh yeah, and upgraded stats, etc :P

edit- also, you can only upgrade set pieces that were designated for your class. If you're a priest with full Dreadmist, you won't be able to upgrade the Dreadmist set. Priests can only upgrade Devout, Mages can only upgrade Magisters and so on...

Yeah, info on that stats/new set bonus was what I was really interested in. Farming this Devout is a pain in the ass, I'm debating whether or not it is worth it. It might be if I can get some epics out of it, but if I can just get into MC I might skip it.

Spoilers on the quests below:

You start your upgrade quests in the King's room in IF. The first step is a trip to Winterspring where you need to kill Frostsabers and Bears in hopes of a Winterspring Blood Sample. The drop rate is complete ass and you need 15 of them. Your best bet is to find a little stone thing where the Frostsabers spawn and just kill the babies as they pop, and adults to either side when they come up.

Next are a few delivery quests and then you go to Burning Steppes to collect Volcanic Ash. The piles spawn anywhere there's red "lava" in the ground (the stuff you can walk on) and look like oversized Un'Goro dirt piles. You need 20 of these (more than 1 drops per pile usually). The best spot I found for this one is by the Horde Flight Path, just run along the red in the ground from the FP base to up by the Golems over and over again.

Next are another couple delivery quests and then you get to collect Ectoplasms. This stage is by far the very worst. You need Goblin Rocket Fuel to power your ectoplasmic retriever thingy. You need to kill ghosts now in Winterspring, Sili, and EP. You drop your Ectoplasm thing on the ground, it pulses a 2 second effect that overlaps in a small area and you kill ghosts. When you kill a ghost and loot it you should pick up an Ectoplasm (3 kinds, 15 of each, specific to each area you're in). Remember, you MUST have the effect on you when you loot or it won't work and you've wasted a bunch of time waiting for a spawn. The best spots I found for this were:

Winterspring ghosts-- The biggest ruins close to the center. There are 2 spawns in the middle, 2 in the back, 2 to the right, 3 in front, and a bunch in the center of the frozen lake.

Sili-- Second level of the house with the Cenarion ghost spawns 3 on the balcony. However, hive wasps spawn every time you kill a ghost, so be careful.

EP-- Set up shop in the center of town and just pull what you can. Usually 2 banshees spawn in the town hall and there are black ghosts and banshees that spawn all over the place. Just make sure to keep an eye out for the Scarlet patrol that comes through, I lost a few ghosts to them when I got shanked.

After the ghosts are another delivery quest or two and then you have to run Strat UD with 5 men to the Baron in 45 minutes or less... just make sure you have a good group.

Each turn in for equipment or a big new stage takes at least 20+ gold, sometimes up to 40. Also, for each step are some pretty hard to get high-end mats (depending on your server). I don't remember exactly what is needed, but I just remember they'll be a pain in the ass to pick up when everyone is trying to get them. Prepare for a new level of farm^_^farm AH price jumps.

EDIT: 12 of each of the 3 types of Ectoplasm, not 15

still some good pieces, like the boots. set bonuses aren't that shabby, either. i've yet to see the chest/helm, though.

they were supposed to tweak the current dungeon sets (SC, Devout, etc) a little. any idea what the changes are? (i think they were changing the set bonus')

The set bonuses are now semi-generic. Each set offers +8 to all resistances, +200 armor and +23 damage/healing (not sure what it is for melee classes). Then each set gets a different proc, warlocks is a chance whenever you are hit to cast a death coil, priests is the same but casts a weak PWS.

Its in Chinesse, gut you can see what they look like and what the numerical values are of the stats just not what stats. It's pretty common sense thos str/stm warrior stm/spt pallys etc....

That is the new set from AQ40... goto wowguru.com for info on the new sets. Although they quests are bugged on test and nobody can get their chest our helm.
