feel free to add your most annoying story of the week

Im on a 32 Druid... questing in STV. Killing raptors...

I get a PM from a guy saying "you should ask first, to be polite."

I'm response basically "huh?"

He points out i just skinned some shit and i realized i had run up to where he was and skinned a pile of raptors below him.

I apologize, tell him i thought he wasnt a skinner given the pile and such.

But... this guy goes all fuckin Mormon on me and wont stop... keeps going on about how rude it is to behave that way. I'm like WTF... jesus...

*dawn*

Then i realized as i remembered the situation... i had followed a trail of raptor bodies and skinned them... a trail leading to him and where i had seen him before. Basically, i had sub-consciously just connected him with all of these and concluded he wasnt a skinner... it was all fair game.

I PM him back... as he's still lecturing me and ask "are you a skinner?"

He responds "no, but that isnt the point."

:D

I pull out my "Tribalwar claws" at that point... and say "listen. It IS the point. I had followed your trail of dead bodies and knew damn well you weren't a skinner based on that. You're the one being rude by lecturing me and even PMing me over nothing. Heck, i even apologized at first and you kept going."

But he wont back down... and even keeps posturing that i did something wrong, and that his having had a skinner previously... he is sure i did something wrong.

SO, as he and i were in the same area... killing raptors... i took it upon myself to ignore his rants and merely ask him in pms... "CAN I HAVE THIS SKIN TOO?" after every mob he killed. :)

I also interspersed my requests with "you should thank people when they give you MOTW. It's polite."

oh, yea... and "you should thank people when tyhey give you THORNS or heal you. It's polite."

But i kept going wtih the "CAN I SKIN THESE TOO?" for a good 30 minutes... until he choked on his silence finally and offered me some gear... which i promptly turned down.

Annoying RPG fuck-face of the day.

A "lolfag" would've been perfectly appropriate to his original PM.

No annoying is finally getting to the last quest in a line of 7 Step 7: Scarlet Subterfuge

get all the way to the guy watch him fight for 20 minutes and have a horde pack randomly ride up and gank you 5 minutes from finish....then they procede to camp area for rest of night.

come back next day to repeat quest have the quest fail twice cause npc dies and finally as i finish quest have to fight off 2 horde rogues again randomly coming upon me to finish. Hunter ftw over rogues always.

really ticked me off trying to finish it

a decent rogue or especially 2 decent rogues should have ganked you easily. 2x cheap shot, couple kidney shots, you shouldn't have had a chance to even attack or get away. I love when hunters feign death on me in BGs. its like free shots

My annoying story for the day was a group of alliance in Thorium Point, im turning in TBH reputation stuff, and a warrior with valor and a TuF decides hes gonna gank me while turning in shit. Well, being a protection spec warrior in full might, i quickly pop a shield block and procede to whoop his ass. He rezzes and a priest joins in with him, Im doing ok and end up using my shield wall, last stand, and a potion to kill the warrior. I do a shrug emote to the priest and turn around ignoring him continue to turn stuff in. The warrior rez's again and this time the warrior and the priest have a few more friends join, a hunter and a rogue. So now i have no chance and ill i want to do is turn shit in, not pvp. These fucktards corpse camp and spit on me. I just kept ressing and turning shit in... using last stand and shield blocks. They killed me about 30 times without me fighting back. I just kept turning my shit in for rep i could tell they were getting annoyed that i wasnt fighting back.

More power to you, man. Any Warrior + Priest combo that can't take down a Protection Warrior (even a Protection Warrior in full Might) deserves all the annoyance they can get.

Are we talking about the final part of the Fordring quest? Cause if so, I absolutely HATED that last leg of the quest as well. You have to run balls-deep through a gauntlet of elites in prime farmer territory (those little bastards can be surprisingly aggressive when they smell an easy, quest-burdened meal) at a snail's pace, and then sit through a disgustingly long, OUTDOOR scripted event and pray to God any Horde that come by are too carebear to wipe you out at the very end.

And when you do get wiped (repeatedly), you not only have to corpse run for a mile and THEN go all the way back to Sorrow Hill, but you have to RUN (not on horseback...on FOOT) all the way back just to shack up with Fordring again, assuming he's capable of a quick reset. If you made it all the way to the end and he's already dead and you died before Fordring the elder shows up...goddamn, can you tell how much I hated that quest?

Oh well, the breastplate was pretty nice for tanking.

My rule on skinning is you loot and skin immediately. No leaving piles and if you loot then you give up your skinning rights if a vulture is lurking around.

Only loot when you are ready to skin.

but that guy sounds like an ass.

yep thats the quest and umm i rode on my mount while disguised so i didnt have to run back on foot...also being a night elf im able to shadowmeld to get the drop on passers by. but yea that scripted sequence is just retardedly tooo long.

I think the funniest time for me was when I was in Tanaris at the Pirates area (always horde/alliance there). I had found a nice quiet spot in behind most of the buildings. Next thing I know a level 43 hunter (me being 46 att) is there with me and had pulled a mob.

So i cautiously finish off my mob and sit down to eat while watching him fight his mob. He finishes his mob and sits down to rest. I decide we're "cool" and proceed to pull another, right as my mob gets to me the hunter throws a mark on me (he hadn't even refilled his full health bar). At this point my rage bar was around 45 ish (rage build) as he sicks his pet on me and tosses off his first what I presume was Arcane shot.

My first thought, "You fucking idiot! Big mistake!" I smashed my FAVORITE button "Intercept" followed immediatly by a hamstring. Took the hunter down in few hits or so.

I felt good about myself for a bit, knowing I had given him the room he needed to not be a dick. Well lo' and behold (didn't surprise me) he comes back with 3 60's who proceed to CC me. I can imagine the story he painted in /1

Anywho..
