So, a little while ago I left Mal'ganis with some dudes, and we started up on Azshara. We finally got enough 60's to run ZG last week. About 10 or so of our 20 hadn't ahd ZG experience, so we had a little trouble on some of the fights, but overall didn't have too much trouble getting to hakkar.
However, we couldn't even make good progress on him over several attempts.
We had 2 tanks fighting for agro, when one got mind controlled we sheeped him, and had a hunter bring a son up to the base of hakkar where everyoen was fighting. We held off on DPS until after the first life drain.
Again, we got him to liek 80% on our best attempt.
I was just wondering what we could do better? What is the ideal number of each class for this fight for horde?
Any info is appreciated - and again our guys are mostly pre-MC looted.
it's hard for MC geared players =\
new hakkar is hard because it's very mana intensive and the life drain doesen't eat his health, it just stops him from gaining it, so make sure you go balls to the wall without pulling aggro because after 10 minutes he gets enraged and you pretty much wipe

If you have a third tank it makes it a bit easier. Also, make sure you have plenty of healing and yea, burn him up before 10 minutes.

It does actually eat his health, but it's not the primary source of damage to him during the fight.

I don't know when you're killing the son, but we usually sheep the son until the last possible second so we don't have to worry about extra healing. Usually it's just keep whoever's tanking up and sheep the MC'd.

Have all your DPS be nuking him pretty hard the entire fight, otherwise you'll never finish by 10 minutes, esp. without good MC+ gear.

Fun fight, but also pretty challenging.
Have 3 tanks (you probaly have 3 warriors anyways) fighting for aggro. 3 gives you a little bit of room to screw up in case one dies. If you don't have at least 2 tanks up it's over as once he MCs the tank he'll just run around stomping on people. Battle resses are also useless for tanks unless they die in the begining since they won't be able to build up enough aggro on him.
Make sure you have all of your warriors pop Intimidating Shout every time it's up.
Everyone that's not tanking needs to make sure they get hit by the poison of course. Tanks need to reapply sunder after every drain since it gets knocked off.
My guild does sheep the MCd person but I don't feel that's a good idea since half the time the MC has 2 seconds left by the time I get sheeped. I'd prefer using stuns (kidney shot, scattershot) myself. The upside to using sheep is that it's essentially a free heal on the that tank. The downside is you have to make sure to dispel it asap.
Everyone that isn't a tank needs to bandage as this is a very mana intensive fight for healers.
Corrupted Blood (the aids) no longer spreads from person to person anymore. It is now a randomly targetted nuke that hits for about 1000 with a dot portion attached. Additionally it will hit everyone within a 10 yard radius of the person with Corrupted Blood for 200 every 2 seconds so you may want to move away from people if you're bandaging.
Other than that just DPS him down. You have 10 minutes until he becomes enraged and rapes everyone (he hit, not crit, me in full tanking gear for 9000)

Spread out. Have the main Tank healers in the middle so when you collapse to kill sons they dont' have to move. Everyone bandages after the life drain. Everyone DPS after 2nd mind control. Alliance paladin stun the MCed people. Horde, jsut fear. It runs out in 8 seconds.
MT's blow fear every time it's up.
