anyone else not interested in PvE?

I myself have grown disinterested in the hard-core raiding life of even a "good" guild. It's not how i want to spend all my gaming time. It's boring if you step back and think about it... and being so invested in gear grinding is fuckin retarded.

I enjoy the challenge of taking out bosses, especially with 40-man guilds. I think that stuff IS fun.

But i'm tired of the pressures of being in a serious guild and miss the more casual gaming experience.

I am not against PvE... i just wish it wasnt so focused on hard-core 40-man shit. I'd like to see more 7-10 man endgame stuff.

I'd like to see more intense questing/PvE which is challenging but not about intense group fuckin scheduling.

I'd like to see much more PvP opportunity as well, including inter-server battlegrounds, more battlegrounds, more rewards from pvp, etc.

40 man intense pve raiding is too much of a fuckin job. There need to be more incentives and reasons to organize pvp.

I actually sort of prefer the PvE to the PvP. The PvP is a huge grind and is just the same old shit over and over. I did level up a priest who is currently shadow and it's a ton more fun to me than the rogue in AV (Rogue has to be the worst class to play in AV and is not much better in the other BGs).

I am probably going to scrap the shadow on my priest in favor of holy once she hits 60. Then try getting her into some end game raiding, start with ZG or something like that.

both are fun if you can find a decently skilled group of people to play with. trying to do either with people who suck will only result in frustration.

raiding is the same MC/BWL/ZG and now AQ schedule all week for like 6 hours a night, even more now that everyone is jacking off to AQ

We're all tribes players here. Suggesting that MP action against players is boring makes not fuckin sense.

Obviously a lot of people have had boring PvP experiences and that isnt likely to change if they arent in a serious pvp guild and/or on a server with decent PvP. For those people, i cant argue with them. PvP hasnt been fun for them.

However, to pretend that PvE raiding after 1.5 fuckin years isnt MORE of mindless grind... i tihnk it just dillusional.

Certainly it can be a lot of fun learning and trying to kill bosses the first time. But once that's gone... it's just a fuckin scripted, boring, linear grind fest for pretty RPG fantasy gear. I can only pretend that's fun for so long, and my brain hasnt been completely lost to the absurd MMO addiction called endgame loot whoring. It's retarded.

I'd stab myself in the eye if i couldnt play PvP, even if that means making a twink lvl 19 char for WSG.

I think those who equate "pvp" with rank grinding are just as insane as those who live/breath/drink pve loot grinding.

Just have some fuckin fun in wsg/ab/av ffs... without turning it into a RPG nerd grind.

IU have more fun at this point in a losing PUG in AB than i do grinding fuckin BWL or MC one more fuckin time. My last guild with my Lock owned Hakkar the first night. Jesus christ... and AQ is just going to be the same shit again.

I like raiding, but raiding ina very serious guild kinda sucks. Alot of pressures to show that you're the best on your server when the majority of people don't care (Even some members of the guild)

they need more 5/10 man instances. it promotes more skill, and flexible class specs. dont all need to be super specialized at that few people. plus it forces out a lot more coordination (read: not yelling over teamspeak) to work.

rogues get a new backstab that adds 15 damage on a non crit that i can't use because i'm 21/3/27, a new feint i wouldn't use cause i don't raid, and a new.. deadly poison? for the love of fuck. what in the goddamn hell

i don't have any of the shadowgarbage boe pieces, and btw you need the bracers to start the armor "upgrade" quests, then the belt i believe, and then the gloves that were now made boe, all of which i don't have. the only piece i have is the chest, how much you want to bet it's the last or 2nd to last piece you upgrade, along with the helmet? so really you could be 7/8 on your blue set just for giggles and not be able to start the quest cause you didn't feel like buying your horrible bracers, that will now probably, be jacked up in price due to these quests

also i don't know about your server, but UBRS PUGS ARE TERRIBLE. they break up after rend, or take seriously 3 hours to get to and kill drak, if not wipe and then break up. i already have my SC chest, that i took cause nobody else needed it, honestly i didn't want it. but wtf? 10 man now instead of 15? pugs are horrible. 5 man strath and scholo? yeah spawns got removed, but PUGS ARE HORRIBLE. 5 mans in pugs take AGES

i don't want to be a part of a guild cause of the damn time it takes every day, every week of every month to do some retarded scripted bullshit event that even when it's "NEW" and "FUN" it's a boring dumbass waste of time grind 2 weeks after release just to get gear, or to get rep

honestly when i get the exalted rewards from AB and get rank 11 for the cheap, kickass black chicken mount i don't know what else there will be to do

nobody world pvp's anymore, and as much as everyone bitched about the TM/SS zergs and guilds running around in raid groups fucking people and towns up, it's alot better than BG grinds mixed with instance grinds and being scared of level 5 npc's cause they are civillian, which is what WoW is now

Surge, that was the angstiest most emo WoW post I have read in a long time. You basically want everything that guilds worked their ass off for monthes to get together (unlike the shitty blues that you got being antisocial that whole time) without the effort. And here blizzard gives you the opprotunity to get a new set, and without all the details released you've already written it off, given up and cried some more.

You truly have no idea what is to be part of a guild, because PvE is fun and can be unpredictable and PvP with a competant guild makes WoW the most fun multiplayer game since Tribes1 for me. Just by looking at your gear I can tell you obviously have no fucking clue outside of your shitty ubrs pugs. Shit, tonight I had a blast: cleared ZG, AQ20, and did 5v5s in the arena all over the course of 6-7 hours. WoW is a social game with a large community behind it that makes it so much fun.

but i don't want to spend MORE PLAYING TIME then they do raiding to acquire rank 14, that is getting outgeared horribly by the new shit getting put into the game

if all you do is play cause "it's fun with friends!" then maybe you should take up console games with your RL friends or some shit
