First EPIX OMG!

Found my first epic tonight. Freezing Band dropped off a regular ogre in Burning Steppes. I was pretty shocked.

What's this thing go for on your servers? I saw one on the AH for 300-400 gold, but don't know if that's the selling price or not. Ballparks?

I got one for 200g, and it's worth it. Rings with >+20 dmg aren't all that common.

My first epic was a pair of Bracers of Might, that I got from Molten Core about 24 hours after hitting level 60.

My second epic was a pair of Sabatons of Might, that I got about an hour later on the same run.

But as for profitable world epics, I've gotten jack. The best world drop I've gotten thus far was the (blue) Zealot Blade I picked up on my Warlock, but I managed to sell that for 85g, so that wasn't so bad. It's a lot more money than I usually make, because I suck at farming. I finally broke down and picked up Herbalism on my Warrior, though, and my lowbie Rogue is Skinning/Leatherworking (gonna switch to Skinning/Herbalism whenever I next play her), so hopefully I should be able to turn things around pretty soon.

Gloves of prophecy. Only good world drop was a shit blue, some shit sword. sold for 30g.

First world drop epic was a Warden Staff which I gave to a druid in our guild. The first epic I got and actually used was a Lionheart helm.

I got the Glowing Brightwood Staff while I was grinding xp on my mage in Dire Maul (2nd 60 and before the nerfed xp from those plant things). I ended up using it.

I also got THE worst epic in the game. The Edgemaster's Handguards. I sold them for 25g if you can believe it.

I've also been on 3 runs where Furor's dropped and 1 time there was no warrior (I was bear tanking). I've seen 2 hand's of edward odd drop as well.

Never seen an epic drop (haven't done phat lewt instances yet).
Seen about 5 or 6 blue world drops (sometimes in group). Gotten 3 blue drops.

I found a purple bow, who's name at this exact moment escapes me! oh well, one of the logging dudes south of hearthglen dropped it..

On my priest it was the prophecy boots

First Epic I looted was a Flurry Axe, which I gave to a Warrior friend. First one I looted and used, was my Krol Blade. First BoP was Bloodfang Belt, off of Shazzrah, 3/31/05.

epics ive sold: brain hacker, lei of lilies, freezing band, ns bracers, ns belt, and destiny. the bracers sold for 2200 and the belt a little under 2000. i did the old restoring of mis-sold items trick for those two. lol.

my first epic was a POS fiery war axe that sold for 60g :(

I saw a rogue take a Dwarven Hand Cannon over a Hunter with a green bow in UBRS before, I told the rogue id make sure everyone blacklisted him from raids if he kept it, after he gave it up, the hunter sent me a tell that he was shaking because he was so happy that he finally got an epic. Thats my best epic drop story, but not my first. First was a Green Tower Shield from a troll in Hinterlands, was about 39-40 at the time. Sold for 80g and bought my mount.
