We have a guy at work that does it so loud you can hear it within a 5 cube radius (large cubes too). He is going at it right now too! Excel 02-14-2006, 04:48 PM That's the million dollar question isn't it. I see what you did there. [MoM] Gort 02-14-2006, 04:48 PM In my case, it drowns out the "kill them...kill them all" voices in my head. x_Maerlyn_x 02-14-2006, 04:49 PM This guys hums to music that's on his headphones... I IM him every once in a while and ask him what he is listening to which lets him know he is humming too loud. The mad hummer syndrom. Vanster 02-14-2006, 04:49 PM I hear you. It's like that dumb motherfucker in your car that feels compelled to read every passing sign aloud. Patton 02-14-2006, 04:51 PM I hum when I'm nervous. Like if a customer calls and says something like "my logical raid 5 drive says it's degraded, and that there's two drives failed. when do you think I'll have my company's main sql server back up?" HMMM HMMM HMMM HMMM HMMM "not any time soon, I'm afraid. maybe if you hadn't ignored the beeping alarm when the first drive failed, you'd be ok. but instead, I have to ask if you have been backing up your db properly." This happened 10 minutes ago. I find that the humming numbs the massive blast of pain that I am about to deliver upon them. AkumA 02-14-2006, 04:53 PM I hum when I'm nervous. Patton 02-14-2006, 05:01 PM I won't even post his reaction. It made me a special kind of sad. I really do feel bad for the guy, because he's going to be spending Valentine's night picking up two replacement drives, rebuilding his logical drive, reinstalling 2k3, and hoping to sweet merciful god that his DB is on tape. jonb 02-14-2006, 05:04 PM I whistle in public and sing on the street. ditto, no ipod or other player on me either Ratbert 02-14-2006, 05:13 PM I won't even post his reaction. However, one time I had a server die, only time it happened, and both hard drives failed within 10 minutes of each other, before I could get to the server room. That wasn't a fun day. Lucky for me, I was able to recover about 70% of one hard drive. JDizzle4Rizzle 02-14-2006, 05:14 PM Humming feels great when her mouth is on your dick... to the tune of A sharp, I believe it's best.
