T1 Server

I dont know about you guys, but i'v had enough of Dangerous Crossing and Raindance to last me a while if ya know what i mean. ;) Anyways i'll get to the point, i'v been thinking about settin up a 30 man base server similar to United States Rangers/Major Geeks. Yeah i know they had there bad points but if you wanted to play some base there was always someone playin. I intend to have a nice map rotation that satisfys both n00bs and vets and good administration for tks etc. Anyways what this thread comes down to is, i am to cheap (or whatever word you want to use) to spend 40 bucks a month on a game or whatever the cost may be.

So i ask my fellow tribers, if there are 2 more people who would like to go in on this with me. I will accept full responsibility for paying each month, all you have to do is paypal me x ammount each month (around $12 bucks a month im assuming).

We are having regular Teamrabbit pickups. And there are enough server at this moment. Only need to contact admins to make a better map rotation.

But yeah, I agree with you. Rd, dx, rc, etc, are getting old and there are many good user made maps that no one play.

:wave: pilkster. I agree, need new maps. More importantly, need good avtive admins to get rid of the spammers and tkers that plague other base servers. I may be interested in donating to this cause :)

New maps in Tribes will never work. Just my opinion ;)

I personally welcome a variety of maps, but the majority of the sheep like grazing familiar ground ;)

I uninstalled a while back, but if there was even one decent active pub that was actively adminned I'd reinstall.

When i said i was sick of DX and RD i was referreing to the Deadly Family server when it would stay on those to maps all the time hah. I dont mind the old maps put i would throw in a few new ones. Like i said i would try to balance it out to suite both new and old players. Anyways does anyone know how much where talkin here for one of these big servers?

what t1 needs the most is Lasthope Base servers, the only reason being that lasthope keeps the noobs out. At every large server, 3/4 of the players are awful and decide to starting tking or changing teams because they don't understand how to play. I see quality players on LT but few on base servers.

Heaven and hell are last hope and they are always empty. You cant keep the noobs out (if there is still such a thing) because if you do you keep out most of the people.

Pilky, I have a T3 Line and PE2550. I tried to run a base server on it but no one ever joined. I need someone to test the ping and promote the server so maybe people will stop joining that gay deadly family no cap/time limit server. Let me know and I will fire it up again and give you the IP and SAD.

But noobs of a feather flock together. Everyone likes the 40 man server i guess.
