ive been saving up for the last couple of years and i have about 2500-3000 and im going to spend it on a computer(yes i know its more than enough for a custom built pc but i dont care :D)

anyways i would like to have the best possible computer out there for that budget and geared towards gaming.

AMD(liquid cooled if necessary or if there is leftover money for it)
dual 1024 ram sticks of course.

sound card not necessarily a must..

other than that im not all that great with computer components so if TW could help me out that'd be great. Thanks :D

Do you need a complete rig? PSU, case, etc? Or just the essentials? Also, how much will you be OC'ing?

That's good for the most part, though I'd rather go with a 7800GTX instead of the Radeon. You probably won't notice a difference though.

SLI isn't needed imo. Go with the single vid card DFI board to save a couple bucks.

Looks good otherwise. The P180 is an awesome case. :bigthumb:

The ATI Radeon is the X1900XT [R580] not the X1800XT [R520] otherwise I would agree with you and go for the 7800GTX [G70]. The nVIDIA [G71] is scheduled for release in March and will provide an increase in performance over the ATI [R580]. The DFI Ultra-D R.AD0 is a great overclocking motherboard although the DFI Expert contain a 4-phase PWM and a redesigned memory power subsystem which increases system stability and therefore considering Nebulous' price range I believe it is justified.
