Time to move up? On the fence about switching limits.

This is from another forum but I'll repost it here:

I began with about 400 in my roll leftover from NL, and started playing .5/1.00. I then began following the 300BB rule and have move up accordingly. I had one initial downswing after a few weeks of 5/10 which was about 120BB, but since that time I've managed to build my roll up to the requisite 300BB required for 10/20 (and without much help from bonuses, and 0 rakeback.. probably 400 MAX bonus money). However the amount of hands that it has taken me to go from 300 @ 5/10 to 300 @ 10/20 was only about 10k hands, which is clearly less than it should take assuming a 2BB/100 avg (and I don't assume that I can beat 5/10 for that sustained either).

My question is whether or not I should continue to play 5/10 and set my sights on a new goal, such as an additional 10k hands, or maybe 400BB. I'm relatively confident as far as my game goes, although like most I do have some leaks to plug (I don't fold on the river often enough, I give free turn cards at times I shouldn't, and I lose focus at the table more than I should, to name a few) but even with some of those leaks I feel that my game is pretty sharp.

What would you suggest? What decisions helped you move up in limits, or stay at the one you play now?

Sorry for the long winded post, just wanted to convey as much of my situation and mindset as possible.

get rakeback atleast, you would probably increase your hourly rate by 10% atleast, maybe even 15%

Well, it wouldn't have increased my hourly that much aside from my recent foray into the world of party. At absolute I always have bonus money to clear, which works out to be around 50% rake I think, so I didn't need it there obviously.

I'm still trying to find an affiliate with rakeback at party. I know they exist, they're just very secrative about it.
