Where do you play?

So where are you guys playing online poker these days? I currently have an account at Bodog, but not for poker, and was thinking of playing around on there.

What are your experiences on there? Do you recommend anywhere else??

The one bad thing about Bodog is that their payout system is subpar compared to most. The games there aren't bad however, the software is decent, and they have ok bonuses. I always enjoyed playing there.

On the flip side there are bigger and better places to play, with nicer software, nicer bonuses, and better payout systems in place.

I used to play on Bodog quite often, but basically don't play there at all anymore. I'm on Absolute now (roughly the same size site, which is to say small/medium, better bonuses, better cashouts), and party (largest site in terms of player base, and more importantly the largest collection of bad players on the net).

I play at stars ... I tried bodog and like it, but like X said, it's a bit small. I am thinking of trying out ultimatebet since they seem to be advertising a lot. :) Any experiences there?

UB is like a mini version of Stars as far as I'm concerned. Tight solid players, but less games to find fish in. I don't like UB. If I were going to play UB or stars, I'd choose stars. Better FPP system, more game selection, better tourney's, and more fish due to sheer volume of customers.

I play .10/.25 & .25/.50 NL 6max & like a relatively passive game. Absolute and Pokerroom have been the best so far for me. To me, the play at Party is too agressive. I have some bonus to finish at Pokerroom, then I may give Full Tilt a try as I've heard good things about it and the PSO bonus is easy to clear.

Have you done any bonuses? Check out bonuswhores.com and pokersourceonline.com (PSO). I'm currently do a bonus through PSO with Pokerroom worth $160 for 400 player points. PSO also has a nice forum where the different rooms are discussed.

stars, bet365, occasionally others.

www.pokerlistings.com is also a very good bonus site.

Anyone know where I can play on a Mac other than Pokerroom? I can't download any of the software needed to play at places like pokerstars. :(

Why is everyone hep on Stars when it supposedly has the toughest game? I still haven't played there and don't really see any reason to as long as I have other reasonable bonus offers to clear.

personally i haven't seen this whole "toughest game" thing at the limits i play. there's still a fair amount of fish at low limits.

tournaments are the best at stars. big, often, lots of satellites, etc. every once in a while i'll get in a big tourney mood and i'll stay on stars for a month or so. keep in mind this doesnt interfere with my bonus clearing. i can' keep 100-200 on stars and satisfy my tourney needs and use the rest of my bankroll to clear bonuses.

the main reason i'm on stars right now is because i'm on a tourney and stud kick. i can always find a stud or stud/8 game on stars and they have the best tournies. i also just got done clearing a bonus there in late december and am close to hitting goldstar status which means 200% fpp till march, and i've got my eye on a few things in their new vip store.
