I think its great how I was forced to attack the guards in ashenvale and get crushed. :rolleyes:

And I know how in some areas they can make you jump to your death. I normally would take advantage of this and make a character so I could use this but then again I think it's pretty gay.


But I haven't played that long so I dont know what can counter this spell and I take it my warrior will always be fucked against this spell.

And I thought paladins were kinda too powerful to begin with....so why is my friend who has a lvl 60 one laughing at me for thinking this new patch was gunna nurf them a bit?

Well if the priest takes any damage the spell breaks, and the cast time is pretty long. But it is a cool one and I have yet to use it in PvP.

it's basicaly useless at higher levels unless you can throw them to their deaths. while you're mindcontrolled you have to stay w/in 20m of the priest or it breaks instantly. any aggro you gain while mindcontrolled goes to the priest immediately after breaking. we cant use any abilities, and can only auto attack at a 30% attack speed reduction.

basicaly i just use it so we can talk to horde.

Mind control is about our only offense (or so it seems) in AB. Lumber Mill is 100x easier to cap when I'm taking turns throwing warriors off the hill to their deaths. You can do it as a lowbie also, I remember being in my 20s or low 30s in 1k Needles tossing level 50-60 alliance off the bluffs as they tried to gank lowbies. Just wait til the day you're fighting Azuregos and someone like me gets ahold of you and tosses you off THOSE cliffs, enjoy a 20 minute walk/swim back to land.

MC used to be MUCH more potent when we could MC a player and use their cooldowns, now you can only do that with a gnomish MC hat.

funniest thing i've heard of is drowning someone by sheeping them when they're swimming. :D

Best use of mindcontrol in AV is on the bridge going to alliance base.

You can only MC people a few levels higher then you. Maybe a long time ago (i had a 60 priest last year) you could do this, but it hasn't been the case for a long time.

For those of you that want to be an asshole, you can also grief lowbies anywhere there is a high cliff (such as the zeppelin tower). Challenge them to a duel, hurt them a bit, and then cast shadow word: pain on them. Cast mind control on them. When they are 1 tick away from losing the duel, jump them off the tower. They will lose the duel halfway through the fall and then take a durability hit when they hit the ground.

i heard they changed it about running ppl out of instances, but i think you might still be able to run them out of bg's. as far as stuff like ab goes, if you're w/ another person, it's really convenient to just mc them as a means of cc while your partner caps the flag. doesn't just have to be at the mill to throw them off the hill

There is a bug with mindcontrol for PvE uses. I found it in BRD. It probbly works on 75% of humanoids. What you do is start the cast watch the cast bar and if you break the cast bar at the right it, the spells actually casts on the mob and breaks instantly. This causes the mob to pull by itsself without adds. You can pull through other mobs or anything. It dosent really matter. There are a few wierd things with it but i have found it works almost all the time for me. If any fellow priests are interested, i could probbly make a more descriptive guide.
