Yep, that's the mobo for you if you want to use the AGP card.

I'd recommend the 3200+, Venice or San Diego core. They OC beautifully, going from 2.0 GHz to 2.4-2.6 easily.

I wouldn't get onboard video... I'm guessing it would be worse than the 9800, plus it eats your system memory.

uli announced a new chipset coming out by march (M1697).. i probably won't be upgrading til at least april so i'm gonna see if one of those looks good.

how are the AMD stock fans these days? i remember the athlon xp one i got sucked.. but i'm trying to stick to a low budget on this one i don't wanna spend an extra $50 on one

I hear they're fine, some people actually OC with stock cooling and get decent temps.

yep i have a stock my cpu runs at 33-37c my system is running at 30ish, but if i were you ill look at those dual boards agp and pci x both on board. ok i would go for slower chip but more mem like dual 2 1 gig sticks, if i had a choice of 3000 with 2 gig or 3500 with 1 gig ill go for the 3000 with 2 gig. ive got the gold ocz 2 gig dual and it runs so fast, example i load up faster than any1 in bf2 and i still have time to fly all the way and take their helo :) or take a flag. i havent seen any1 load up a map in bf2 so far as fast as me.
