Yeah, I currently have around 400mb ram and it has 170mb as system cache, what does this mean ? how does it affect my computer's proformance ? How do I use less for system cache ?

I don't see "System Cache" in the task mananger, where are you getting it from? B) It likely means that 170mb are currently being used. OSs and programs use memory, so some is obviously going to be used up. Do you know how computers work? C) You are a newbie, and could harm your system by doing this, but... click start, click run, and type in 'msconfig'. Disable all the startup items you think you should disable. Don't do anything stupid.
