Resolution issue - Rad 9800 Pro

Intel P4 2.4GHz HT
Asus P4PE-2X MoBo
1Gb Kingston PC3200 RAM
Club3D Radeon 9800 Pro 256Mb
Display: MicroOne 17' CRT (Should support resolution up to 1280x(whateveritis) on 85Hz)

edit: This is, to my knowledge, solely an issue between my Radeon and Monitor. Didn't have any problems with my GeForce 4. Also no problems with games like DAOC.

Bug #1: Most of the time the card works okay (With most games). However with few games (OpenGL based i believe) like DoD: Source, GuildWars and Dark and Light (new MMO, pretty much betaphase tho) if i put my resolution over 1024x768 the screen will give me "Out of Range". This is probably ATI's drivers messing up. Since the Display ain't exactly mainstream the support is not the best one. Can't find updated drivers for display, and using other than Catalyst drivers for Radeon didn't help either (Tried Omega etc.). Anyone have a clue is there anything i can do?

Bug #2: ATI Control Center informs me that it supports DCC connection between Display and 3D Card. However if i use DCC it'll force refresh rate to 60Hz, unchangeable no matter what i do. This is common bug with ATI Drivers, tried to google for solutions but found none.

And YES, i have:

- Cleanly reinstalled Drivers
- Reformatted Windows once already
- Tried other drivers from guru3d.com than ATI Cata's

give this a shot anyway

start->run->cmd
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_de vices=1
start devmgmt.msc
view->show hidden devices
Monitors->delete ALL of them
display adapters -> delete ALL of the GREYED OUT (dimmed) ones
reboot

if that doesn't work, try simply unchecking the box in the Monitor tab of the display properties that says "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and see what happens. make sure you test out each resolution

Deleting them didn't help.
The "Hide modes..." is grayed out :o
The monitor is simply using XP default drivers.

Yus, i should've known better but my old monitor suddenly broke up and i had loads of schoolwork and stuff to do, that 1 day delay already made it hard as hell ;o Not expensive mistake in the end, i'll probably buy a LCD in February. Christmas+Birthday+Studen tloan should cover it.

Only Model number i find is if i check Monitor Properties, shows K700 (It's not @View Monitor tho). I emailed the company and asked if they have a driver package for it (Seems like a reseller, no driver downloads etc on webpage)

Trying to dig up the manual

check the back of the monitor. it's always there on the label.

Model Name: 7002D
Tried looking it up, no luck. Saw that someone else had requested drivers for same model number in DriversGuide.com too

are you sure the brand is actually micro one? could it simply be a rebadged KTC? they have a k-7002d model

edit: Found one Driver, however it's originally for Win98 or smth. Has installation utility but it crashes. Not sure if i want to try to install it from .ini file. Bad stability rating at least. Trying to look for updated one, but it's a hard find. Checked KTC website, they have the same driver.

Guess i'm so out of luck
