Put 10 days of /playing into any character and you will be level 50. Put 20 and you will be 60. It probably would be nice to buy a character with all their epic gear, but then you will miss out on the aquisition of that gear.

so the people with 2-3 lvl 60s have wasted a month and a half straight of their lives playing wow? wow.

thats like.. from today, that would be like deciding you're going to play wow with no sleep nonstop until feburary. thats what they've done.

15 days to 60.
Usually 10 or less for subsequent 60s.

hrm if it takes 15 days /played to hit 60 by my calculations it'll take me 60 weeks to hit 60 (if I play 6 hours a week average).

I doubt it'll happen this time (my 3rd iteration of playing)

and you waste the same amount of time playing madden, condemmed, etc etc.

We just choose to waste that time on 1 game instead of many. If we play wow for a year @ $15 a month, thats $180. Now, if I were to play my x-box all the time i'd probably buy a game every 2-3 months. so, lets say i buy a game once every 3 months. thats $200 - $240 in games. (and probably more with the subscription to xbl).

Like I said, it's time wasted 1 game instead of many :P.

If I added up the amount of time I played Tribes, T2, and T:V including matches, pubbing, etc, the figures would be astronomical.

You just never really thought about it or had a way to keep track.

Agreed - although I do find that the nature of wow keeps me sitting for longer periods at one time - when I play bf2, I usually take a break after a map cycle. In wow, I define my breaks by levels or quests - those can take a lot longer.

Those times are usually turbo powering rogues/hunters on PvP realms. Other classes take even longer, though if you play on Normal you can shave more time off it.
