so theres the "original" hd and the "new hd"

i have copied the C: partition to the "new hd"

if i set the "original" hd as master everything works fine

if i set the "new" hd as master, with the "Original" as slave, it boots up but uses the slave's C: - i've tried changing the drive letters but it wont let me

if i set the "new" hd as master without having the "original" connected windows freezes on the login screen before the login icons come up

generally windows doesnt play nice when copied over. Just install windows on your second drive and copy things over you want. Thats about the easiest way. I personally dont like programs like partition magic. I like setting up my partitions when I install a feash copy of windows

Format new drive, take out old drive, install windows on new drive, put back old drive, back up your shit, format old drive, take out old drive.
