So I rerolled on Maelstrom a while ago, and my guild is finally burning some ZG bosses down, and I scored this tonight

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=19866

I've got the Dal'rends mainhand, and I'm wondering, what should I enchant on that offhand?

Not really familiar with rogue math and such, this is my first 60 rogue, just lookin for some advice. Crusader, Lifesteal, 15agi?

To me, agility is probably the best offhand enchant in the game. Extra AP, extra crit, extra AC (I'd say extra dodge, but that's a downside v warriors).

I'm a fan of 15 Agi as well. Some things to consider are wether you PvP a lot or not. 15 Agi is a well-rounded enchant, but if you PvP a lot (or posssibly even PvE in 1.9 when it switches from fire to shadow) then dual Lifesteal is also a viable option, as it has a fairly high procrate. However, chain proccing is getting nerfed next patch as well, so I'm personally going to stick with Agi, as I'm primarily PvE on my rogue, and I think the 30 AP/2 Dodge/1 Crit is more valuable.

I used to have Crusader offhanded on my bonescraper, and I just didn't find the procrate to be high enough to make me want to get it again when I switched to Brutality Blade.

There isn't a weapon enchant in the game that will make any kind of significant difference, but in my opinion +15 agility is easily the best one available for rogues.

I, however, typically like to put Fiery Weapon on my main hand simply because I like to blow people up :] (and like I said, no enchant is going to make a big difference).

As a swordie im currently Crusader(Chromatic Sword)/AGI(Brutality Blade), but yeah, AGI/AGI would work too, no big difference I dont think.

I recently started on Maelstrom too, alliance since all my other chars are horde. I think I prefer being horde in battlegrounds though

how can you say fiery or crusader isn't a significant difference?

How can you say they are?

You've got fiery weapon, which is like a 15% chance to proc 40 damage. In PvP, that's maybe an extra 120-240 damage per target. Sure, that's nice, but it's not game breaking (significant).

Crusader, when it procs, is an extra 100 attack power. The heal isn't even worth mentioning. I love attack power, but 5% chance to proc 100? I'd much rather take 15 agility for 15 AP and 0.5% chance to crit, without having to rely on a proc.

I've done so much testing on different enchants, I've pissed my guild off for whoring their mats (hey no one else uses them).

In PvE, it comes down to these combinations
Crusader - Shanker / Agi - Bonescraper
Agi - Shanker / Agi - Bonescraper (best because you're already getting 30 AP with the scraper)

Now, I got flamed to hell and back when I ran the last MC with this
Crusader - Shanker / Crusader - Heartseeker

They do stack, the Holy timer doesn't reset, but you do get 200 Str, and by proxy, 200 AP with that.

I'm tempted to toss my recent orbs at a
Crusader - Shanker / Crusader - Bonescraper

AP is nice, but damn. In PvE, dual crusader procs so often, it's so hard to get rid of. Every time I light up, I grin. I check out my AP for the next 10 seconds - hitting 1123 raid buffed. I don't have any epics (well, last night I got my first NS belt).

It's so hot. Don't ever toss a Crusader on offhand please unless you dual wield them. For PvE the offhand should be Agi, and your mainhand should be Agi or Crusader. The benefits you get from those overtime (also considering you shouldn't be taking damage during a PvE fight and have materials like tubers, nightdragon, and pots to heal yourself) far outweight the lifestealing.

I was seriously wrecking shop with 2 Crusader enchants. It looks wicked, and having 200 extra AP helps. I'm also a crit rogue (26.08% unbuffed, 32.36% raid buffed) with no epics. I run DM Report each and every fight I'm in, and I just don't see too much of a difference between the two mainhand enchants.

my .02

edit: not to wave my dick around, and I do have a feeling most of rogues in my guild are numbnuts, but I outdps the entire raid, including the top pvp hunter who is in our guild. He usually tops me, but if I bring my A-game and I get behind the mob enough as I'm 31 / 8 / 12 spec, my crits + sealfate are simply FTW.

edit2: PvP is a totally different story to most people, and lifesteal is probably your best bet in PvP, but I would still keep the Agi on offhand.

Rogue should never be out damaged by anything short of a non-tanking Ash'kandi warrior.

Not always true. I get outdamaged by everybody in MC & BWL plenty of times. Then again, I go on 10 minute AFK stints, so it's to be expected.

Im a fan of weapon chain in the offhand, I run into so many combat rogues and warriors that want to disarm me, and I laugh at their glowy offhand weapon while their mainhand is disarmed and I go to town.
