I am dying here from laughter.... i love it.

briliiant too - i've done this in real life play to piss people off myself. i'll bluff w/ 72o just to get under peoples' skin in the offchance I actually DO win... and if they fold to me, I will ALWAYS show that... nothing flips people out quite like that. :)

he seems to talk more about catching good hands with 7-2o, as opposed to to bluffing; not only that but his first scenario is in LIMIT hold-em...YUCK ;)

i'd rather hear about your (and others) bluffing experiences than read about catching a hand while trying to bluff (yes, i'm jaded right now; read my last post in the vietnamese thread where i miss-timed my move on a guy bluffing me and got burned)

k
i was BB, 6 people @ the table including me. EVERYONE called the bb, (no raise??? wtf) and i was there with 72o, so i sorta sat there waiting for the flop -

7d2s7c (i THINK those were the suits)

i was just like... bullshit.

so everyone checks - so i do too. i was a bit too stunned to make any sort of bet without looking like i was having a heart attack so i just croaked out "check". no one noticed that i had gone white.
turn was an ace, so dude to my left bets in a small amount which everyone else called, so i raised it a bit.

EVERYONE called.
at this point i'm just shocked and awed that i had 77722, practically crying.
river was K. Dude next to me again leads with modest bet, raised by next guy pretty heavily, and was folded from there over to me. i figured i'd just call, see if the guy to my left would call (didn't think he'd call a raise), and teh fucker goes all-in. dude to his left folds, makes some rude comment.

i sit there, and instead of just calling right away i play with my cards for a bit... (i didn't like the guy at all)

should i? shouldn't i? WHAT DO I DO????

finally i look up and say "i'll call."
we flip them over, he had AK for 2 pair. he sat there staring at my fh, and i swear to god the dude wanted to either punch me in the face or start crying. i quietly took his entire stack and the guy to his left (who also apparently didn't like the guy) says "did you just seriously get busted out by 72o?

that's the story of the best hand i have ever played in real life - and the crazy part is that i was mostly just along for the ride.

(i wound up coming in 3rd that night. one bad beat and then a bunch of very bad calls on my part as i fell apart completely and began to play as i normally do, which is to say, sucky)

heh, that's one of the reasons i LOVE to see an internet player walk into the casino and take a seat at my table ;)

I limped in with 72 and flopped a boat too...except no one called my modest raise after turn.

i could be wrong, but isn't the glory of winning a hand with 7-2 not flopping a good hand, but bluffing everyone out and taking down a nice pot?
